tOfficial 21-22 NHL Season thread

Back to back road games in back to back days. Avs and Stars. Just beat the Avs, Stars will be interesting. Wish we got a day off in between though.

Well that’s a much shittier return than what Calgary offered apparently… Good on the knights for perpetually going out and getting the big fish.

They're getting big fish, but at the expense of depth. They won't be able to retain guys like Reilly Smith and Janmark anymore and they can't play their top two lines all night every night. Some bad is coming with the good. It'll be interesting to see how that team does with such a top-heavy roster.

Definitely worried about the depth/cap, but love the pick up.

But with Stone, Pacioretty, Whitecloud, and Karlsson all out... somethings gotta give. Hopefully he can make a difference and give some stability while those guys are out. Hoping Stone and Whitecloud will be back pretty soon.

Hurricanes are still undefeated ice brothers

:yahoo:

Red Wings are currently 4-0-2 against American teams and 0-4 against Canadian teams.

Fucking just realized that Eichel is injured too and probably won't see ice till Jan or Feb.... Vegas is so banged up right now.

Vegas looks like a team that's missing key pieces. The upstart Wings worked em pretty good last night. Need to find someone better to spell Lehner because Brossoit is garbage.

Yeah for sure and they are missing key pieces, like I mentioned, Stone, Pacioretty, Eichel, Karlsson, and Whitecloud are all out.

They just have to keep it close. When these guys are back and healthy, I think they are easily favored in the division if not the conference.

These Hulu/ESPN+ games are stupid.

The Wings are 6-1-2 this year with both Larkin and Bertuzzi in the lineup. (including wins @WAS, EDM)
The Wings are 1-4-0 this year with either Larkin or Bertuzzi out of the lineup. (including 2 losses @MON)

It's not just wins & losses either... the team performs like a Cup contender when they're both in and performs like a top-5 lottery team when either are out. It's astonishing to witness how heavily those two players impact the team.

Like wise, once Karlsson, Stone, Pacioretty, and Eichel are all back, I fully expect this team to dominate.

Lebron looking to buy the Penguins.

Man, it doesn't get more on brand than that.

Cool, so we could have an NHL owner that's 1000x more racist and 1000x less educated than Donald Sterling! What could possibly go wrong?
