True -- I think, if I remember correctly, OSU went away from giving the ball to Zeke in the 2nd half. That was such a great team OSU had.

As far as the weather at the Michigan/OSU game last year -- the TV made the game look way worse than it actually was. It was actually a nice day out, just a little chilly, but nothing that'd effect the play at all.

I agree the weather in that game this past week was bad, but NW QB's was still able to complete 10/14, so it isn't like it was that bad. Though Julian Fleming dropped a couple balls that should have been caught. Still can't believe that guy hasn't panned out. Thought he was going to be dominate.

And I fully expect OSU to be able to throw the ball on UM. UM just wants to eliminate the big TD plays. Make them move it down the field and continue making the throws. Should be a fun game. Coming into this year -- I thought it would be a blowout (OSU blowing UM out), but I think it will be a good game now. We had to replace so much on defense as well as our DC -- but it has been a seamless transition.

NW QBs were also throwing dink and dunks lol. Ohio State offense is a lot more developing routes down the field. Good luck connecting on a lot of those in those conditions.

3 of NW passes accounted for 35/79 yards that means the other 7 went for a total of 44 yards. They weren't going down the field much at all.

Of course some blame definitely goes to Day and co for still constantly trying to throw deeper routes in a wind storm.

That's what you have to do in those conditions. Even if it were just raining -- you don't want to make it habit of throwing downfield as your odds of completing it go down. When you add in wind, the odds go even further down. When you have 40 mph winds -- it really shouldn't even be in the play calling.

2015 was inexcusable with the amount of talent on that team. Zeke and Curtis Samuel at RB. Michael Thomas, Braxton Miller, Paris Campbell, Noah Brown, and terry mclaurin at wr. Billy Price, pat elflein, Taylor decker, and jamarco Jones on the o line. Nick vannett at TE.

Defensively they had Joey Bosa, tyquan lewis, Adolphus Washington, jalyn Holmes, and dremont Jones on the line. Jerome Baker, raekwon McMillan, Josh perry, and darron Lee at LB. DBs gareon Conley, marshon lattimore, Malik hooker, tyvis Powell, and vonn bell.

Has to be one of the greatest fails not to even get to the playoffs ever.

This is my biggest thought/question. That forecast was well known early in the week. Yet we tried to run almost our same offensive game plan for a good part of the game. Also,we didn't start stacking the box until the second half on defense. Just complete hubris to think we were just going to be able to go business as usual

I was working during the Iowa game. I didn't see it.

You went away from Zeke because Michigan State had one of the best run defenses in the country that year and he was getting like 2.5 yards per carry.

Petras threw for 2 touchdowns.

Really.

Day seems to love trying to keep forcing things that don't work

The stretch runs in short yardage have not worked at all this season, yet he constantly keeps going to them as well.

it was so bizarre seeing an Ohio State team manage only 132 yards and 5 first downs (against MSU).

All of their points came off of short fields from MSU mistakes…. Who was playing without a QB.

One of our TDs came after Michigan State fumbled a punt inside the 10.

The 75 yard yard drive by MSU to tie the game was one of the most infuriating drives ive ever watched. We KNEW MSU was going to run and they just marched down the field on 4 and 5 yard runs.

We finally at one point got you in a 4th and long I think it was Bosa who jumped offsides on 4th and like 8 to make it 4th and 3 then yall easily got the 1st down.

I didn't go away from anyone -- I hate MSU and OSU the same. :beer2:

This made me LOL

Maryland (6-3, 3-3 B1G)

Last week: Lost at Wisconsin, 23-10

Recap: The legend lives on from Piscataway on down
Of the big flop they called ‘Terp Kablooey’
Maryland, it’s said, never ends up ahead
When the Terps of November start losing

A wide receiver corps with four dudes who can score
Masked a defense, uh, slightly less… sturdy?
But that good team, it’s true, wouldn’t stay 6 and 2
When the gales of November came early

The team was doing fine on the Big Ten’s East side
When they flew out to breezy Wisconsin
As Maryland teams go, it was better than most
With a QB and linemen well-seasoned

Concluding a year with maybe nine wins
And dreams of bowl games in sunny Orlando
And when kickoff was nigh and the flags whipping up high
Could it be the collapse they’d been fearin'?

When huddle time came, Taulia brought ‘em in, sayin'
"Receivers, it's too rough to feed ya"
And as Jump Around played, and the line had caved in, he said
"Fellas, it's been good to know ya"

Locksley called in, he had rushers on the edge
And the QB and backs were in peril
And at 3 yards a pass, with the D-Line on his ass
Came the wreck of the ‘22 Terrapins

Does anyone know: where does Maryland go
When they lose to Penn State and Ohio?
The pundits all say that they'll meet Duke or Wake
In the Pinstripe Bowl, brought by New Era

Ohio State rolls, The Nittany Lions sing
In the Big Ten East standings each season
Old Michigan steams like a 1970’s dream
And the Playoff Committee takes notice

And farther below State and Rutgers, you know
Take the wins the Big Ten West can send ‘em
But Terps will no-show, as the Marylanders all know
And as tales of November remind ‘em

The legend lives on from Piscataway on down
Of the big flop they called ‘Terp Kablooey’
Maryland, it’s said, never ends up ahead
When the Terps of November start losing

This week: @ Penn State, 3:30, FOX (Maryland +10)

this could be a real issue against OSU
