Question to Nebraska fans:

Do you miss Bo Pelini? His worst season was 9 wins. You have reached 9 wins once since firing him.

Would you go back and have the program keep him? Or did he need to go and the picks for replacement just haven’t worked out as intended?

You see the record of Nebraska now and would think they miss those days, but it seems like the whole fanbase hated Pelini and thought he underachieved.


I think about this because Ohio State could fire Day and things go bad and we don’t even sniff the success we are having under him. On the flip side, the Buckeyes kept John Cooper too long, don’t want it to be year 10 and Day is 2-7 against Michigan.

He could win the games he should, but his record against teams that finished the season with 9 wins or more was abysmal.
 
Fired Indiana coach Tom Allen's buyout was originally $20.4 million to be paid over an extended period, but Indiana and Allen negotiated it down to $15.5 million to be paid faster in two installments of $7.75 million... one installment now in 2023, and the 2nd installment in 2024. Plus Allen gets all $15.5 million even if he immediately gets another job.

Day should get two more seasons. I'm curious to see if Harbaugh caught lightning in a bottle with the group of kids he has plus the amount of upperclassmen he had willing to stay.

Let's see if Harbaugh and Michigan can recover from attrition the way Ohio State is forced to all the time.

If Day loses the next two seasons, then goodbye for sure no matter what he does the rest of the season.

Funny enough about Cooper, it drove me absolutely insane how bad he was against Michigan, but what pushed me on to the Fire Cooper train was actually his 98 loss to Michigan State.
 
Fun fact, Michigan's flyover this past Saturday was a Navy P8 Poseidon....a spy plane. lmfao
 
New Spartans head football coach Jonathan Smith's contract is pretty sweet for him... most initial contracts are 5 or 6 years, but in order to sweeten the deal to prevent other suitors from getting him, MSU increased the contract to 7 years @ $52.85 million.

Plus Jonathan Smith's assistant coach pool money is even higher than what Mel Tucker had for his assistant coaches.
