I love your optimism, but subbing in a guy at center who has barely played but will be expected to make the line calls against 2-3 of the best d-lines OSU has played all year vs a 5th year senior who has started 40+ games including CFP games is not "sliding in".
Seth was a mid-year all-American and was going to be the All American center this year prior to the injury. One NFL scout called him "the most improved player in college football". Not the most improved center, or lineman, but the most improved player regardless of position.
This is going to hurt. Hopefully, they can make up for it with creative play calling but make no mistake, this is a big blow.
