could always use him similar to how Michigan used McCarthy in 2021. They used him in blowouts and in occasional meaningful playtime (saw non-garbage time reps against MSU, OSU; UGA was a blowout, but still got meaningful reps against a loaded roster)

feel like OSU needs more than just a QB though, they're losing Harrison/Egbuka/Fleming/Stover/Johnson (not that the latter was much of a difference maker, still a senior WR with *some* experience). Tate looks like a future stud, but that looks to be a very inexperienced WR core going into next year.

Hope it works out well for him. We have our share of lineman and tight ends (and probably the most famous kicker) who make it from here but never have had a qb.

Day is terrible at handling his QBs lots of reports the last few years of how disregarded the backup is pretty much. He ignores them and doesn’t give them proper practice reps. So we are screwed if the #1 goes down, this isn’t just at QB though Day just doesn’t rotate period, we have so many talented WRs but we pretty much only ever play the same 3 any given year. The lack of Dline rotation is maddening considering it leads to better teams just gashing us late in games.

OL is the biggest worry by far next year. Defense I feel will be fine but if we don’t shore up the OL it won’t matter who we have at QB.
