And more work bitching:
Comms Dumbass: Can you approve $35k a year for this work we're outsourcing to the Philippines? We need help designing comms packages, Sharepoint design & architecture, video production and digital comms production (infographics, art/images for visual storytelling)
Chief of Staff: Sure, fine by me.
CD: Thanks! Moxie - can you submit the PO?
Moi: Why do you need this help? Aren't these things the very definition of your job? Why are we outsourcing this? Is it a workload issue or a talent issue? Is every group paying for the service? If so, why? Can't you apply the learnings across the board once you've got it? And if not, why is my department the only one?
CD: Yes, it's a workload issue. Your dept only pays for the services we need, nothing more. It's really a continuation of last year's contract. CoS gave the greenlight to move forward on 11/30 so hopefully we're good to go. If you have any other questions or concerns, I can pull in my manager and he can walk us through this, too.
FIRST OF ALL - I ain't scared of your manager, bech. So yes, I would appreciate a meeting with him because when I brought my concerns to the CoS AND THE FUCKING CFO OF THIS FUCKING COMPANY - they told me to ask you because they, too did not understand WTF we are paying someone else to do your fucking job!!
Also, if it does end up getting approved - submit your own fucking PO.
