tOfficial “Weed Growers” Thread

Loading up to get them out to the field. There's a lot to take in here. Take a look at the size of the plants. They are out of the bags about a foot. You can see roots...those white lines along the sides of the bags. I like a good base of roots so they dirt stays together when putting them in the ground.

Then dig the holes. I mix a little miracle grow in ground garden soil to give them a bump.

Cutting along the seems of the bag, the bag falls away from the root ball.

Plop it in the hole, back fill and then give it a lot of water. Check on it daily for the first week and water every other day (minimum) until it is doing well on it's own.

These went in today.

Holy crap you're having a bad year.

Understatement.

But with it al legal up here (and I love my Reign Drops) and me mostly eating my product in carrot cake form daily I'm sort of OK. I still have ~8 oz of various buds which will make 3 cake batches more or less.

And still leave me those weekend bowls or the week day when my discipline wains.

I used to wake up and roll. Even when married with kids, many days before work. Or at lunch from work. NFL Sundays were massive. Still are after 3:30 PM PDT. But no more.

Love to grow my girls. But this year shit happened... I had one year in the last 20 where I lost production. A helicopter was hovering "just out there" and I sacrificed my girls for the greater good and composted them. They were planted in late April and it was early August, they were ripening and obvious. 5 of them. It was a sad day.

My Photoperiod plants don't look to be flowering yet. More like gradually slipping into flower mode.
Fertilized with some bloom fertilizer to help it along.

They are over 6 feet tall already, and I wish they would just flower.
I don't need them to 'expose' themselves to everyone.

Mine are bipolar. Starting buds but adding new growth even faster.

Bigger plants is why you started them early. Photo plants will not start to bud up heavy until daylight hours are reduced. When growing indoors, you can force the plant to start budding by reducing the amount of light from 18 hours to 12 hours. But with outdoor growing, we have to wait on the days to get shorter when nature is ready.

My point is...they should keep growing for a while longer before they want to bud. That's supposed to be a good thing. If you're worried about them getting too tall, you can lean them over and tie them down some.

Mine are not close to budding yet. The ones I put in the ground in May, I can tell which are males and females, but it will be August before they start to twist up heavily into buds.

The buds are just starting. Won't even think about harvesting until late September, but the number of new leaf branches is a shock.

I had to look up what type plants you put in...

1 each Dream Queen, The Spice and Hindsight moving outside this coming week. My garden is complete.

Are these seeds / plants from Humboldt?

Unbeknownst to me, my Dad had one do something similar to that and ended up with "popcorn buds" ... we have no idea what to call them but they were bud looking growths all over the stalk and stems and the size of popcorn kernels.

Two quick things:
1. I had just started smoking pot and had no idea Dad had a small grow. I bought a lot of pot that Dad had given
my brother ... that bastard made a killing off of me with Dad's free pot.
2. Hell, it could have been a fungus for all we know but that shit was potent as hell when smoked.
