that's a good pickup for sure.. too bad Arch is going to break his ankles in the first qtr.. but he should heal up and be ready for conference play![]()
I don't talk smack about what a bunch of 18-22 year old young men may or may not do, but I am not worried.that's a good pickup for sure.. too bad Arch is going to break his ankles in the first qtr.. but he should heal up and be ready for conference play![]()

That makes no sense. Paying players unlimited money going forward doesn't put any money in the past players' pockets. The House Settlement does pay those players something.i hate that... we should have atleast a decade of this current landscape for all the players who were wronged in the past
you sound like a commieThat makes no sense. Paying players unlimited money going forward doesn't put any money in the past players' pockets. The House Settlement does pay those players something.
You just like it because your school has the most money to spend. But, reigning in the transfer portal by contract is the way to go. A player can jump to another school, but will have to think twice about it. The school and players can mutually agree to part ways.
Take Nico's brother as an example. He signs with Arky in January, collects $200K, and then 3 months later decides to go somewhere else. That's not a good system in anyone's book.
A fool and his gold are soon parted. Let the free market figure it out. If enough people get burned that way, then it will eventually stop. Putting these caps and limits just pushes it all back to bag-men and uncles getting money and skimming it before it reaches the kid. That makes no sense. it's the place to be.. Marion and the go go offense and Shaq has joined the mens bball programDidn't Sacramento St just get a big basketball recruit as well? Did someone just write them a big check for their NIL fund?
Rico Gathers played BBall for Baylor and never a snap for their football team, then got drafted by Dallas. That former Baylor basketball player that played tight end at Utah this year got drafted. Lohner or something like that.
I remember him but didn't know he got drafted. I wonder how many of those type guys that only played hoops in college actually pan out. The only two I remember are Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez and Jimmy Graham.Rico Gathers played BBall for Baylor and never a snap for their football team, then got drafted by Dallas.
Wasted a 6th rounder on him. Ended up catching 3 passes for 45 yards in his NFL career.
