I’m wondering if sriracha, chili flakes, chili oil and chili paste was overkill for my firecracker skrimps.

If the shelf is heavy or you're putting heavy things on it, you need to find the studs and drill screws directly into them.

Do you have a stud finder? I test mine by pointing it at myself and if it starts beeping I know it's working..
Even with the plastic things? Dis booshit, yo.

Alright. It's been a minute...
I couple weeks (maybe months?) ago, I bought some floating shelves. I opened them, started putzing with placement and then kinda forgot about it for awhile. Then I couldn't find the screws that came with it, so I went to Lowe's and some old fucker told me which ones to buy as a replacement. I challenged his maff skills because the shits just didn't look right (i took the mounting directions with me), but he shamed me into getting the ones he recommended. Fast forward to a few days ago and i found some screws that I think went with the shelves. Totally different sizes, but I'm not sure if they really are the right ones or not. The plastic bit is WAY bigger than the stupid ones the old cooter told me to buy, but they almost look too big, so maybe they belong to something else. Taking a poll...which ones should I use?

And if someone were asking (definitely not me!)... you make a hole with a drill, then put the plastic bit in, then shove the screw into that?
If you take your normal phillips screw driver and use it to make a hole in the drywall, the white anchor will go right in. Tightwn until it is snug, and flush with the drywall.

My hesitation on the white ones is the damage they are going to leave behind, but since I fucked up the wall where I hung the TV, I guess I'm in for a penny, in for a pound already :noidea:

And those yellow ones... they open up behind the wall, right? That doesn't give them more leverage? Also - i'm only putting little tchotchkes on it so not a ton of weight. I'm guessing around 5 lbs, max?

And I KNEW that old fucker was wrong AF. The instructions had the measurements in... millimeters? Whatever it was, it didn't convert to what he had on the shelf, but he insisted it was the right one anyway. I should go back and bust his hip.

I think you are screwed

If I were you. I’d screw the black one. The white one just seems too big for you .

I think the white drywall and the black screw will be easiest for ya. They're both for drywall.
THIS is how it's gonna "pan out"... :rolleyes2:

Mets get 1 hit to start their perfect 0-162 season. At least that one hit was a HR @Hu War Yu
They usually win their openers, and go downhill from there. Maybe this year is a reverse year

Either way, I'm looking forward to that Beavers Cocks game in the women's elite eight

How's your recovery going?
(If you're tired of being asked, just let me know.)

Pro tip. When you pull the screws out, you tighten the white until its slightly embedded, and just spackle over it. Trust uncle Peter this time.

The yellow ones, even if you drill thebhole perfect, the cock sucking pos mutherfukars will still just spin insid ethe hole when you try to screw into them. FUCK THOSE! I wil never use one of those, unless is behind a screw that stripped out of concrete or brick wall.
