My wife's aunt passed away a few years back. She wanted her ashes dropped in three or four different places, had a bunch of artwork she wanted to donate to several people and organizations, wanted her musical instruments donated to a conservatory in Maryland...she never married or had kids so it all fell to my wife and her siblings (mostly my wife). She did leave them all a chunk of money each, which was nice.

I told my family to flush me down the toilet, I won't be here to care. If they want to have a memorial service, that's on them and they can do whatever makes them happy.

About fucking time. My SS check was a little short this last time. The money should be there by the second Wednesday this month so I'll have enuf for a trip to The Reservation.

There were dress fittings and teas and bruncheons and mixers and cotillions and so forth, scattered all over Northern Georgia. Whenever she complained about the travel or the time commitments, she would get a vague threat such as "there are dozens of other sorority sisters ready to take your place." They had a falling out over something stupid and she was "banished" from the wedding. I don't think they ever spoke again.
