Tuggin Tuesday Thread

Still seems like a relatively low percentage of companies, especially low for flat-out denial of coverage. Would be interested to see more recent numbers because I've still never seen that entry on any paystub I've ever reviewed. And there's no way in wouldn't have to be a separate line-item on a paystub.
Optum and USBank both do this. The fee was still smaller than what benefits would cost through my employer, so we pay it. No idea how it shows up on a paystub doh.

Was a PITA having to walk in to a building and hand a dude a handful of cash.

I can't understand bank employees not wanting customers to use their physical locations. I get the banks themselves. But its like the employees themselves get mad at it.
I understand it. Most people are fucking stupid. That goes for bank tellers too.

Speaking of ATMs, used one that wasn't "my" bank for the first time in...who the fuck knows when, to get pizza in Wisconsin at a place that didn't take cards.

$3 fee from the Machine.
$2.50 fee from my bank.

Fuck. Right. Off.
That sucks.

My bank has no fees for using other banks' ATM's and pays the other banks' or machine's fees for me.

most ATM's will accept up to 50 bills and if you're over 50, you'd just need to make two deposits.....
What about if you had to deposit $760

They would not have to pay it then. Its only for spouses that have employment that offer them insurance.

I didn't get that far, but I prefer handling health issues as a household rather than managing separate coverage/networks depending on the recipient.

I do remember now that my parents ran into this before my dad retired where my Mom's company kicked him off their health plan since his company offered insurance.

I'd expect cash advance places outnumber both of those in your area. Unless you count those as banks.
Crazy. I noticed when I moved to MT there are none. Not that I use them but just something I noticed when I moved here as far as 1 of the differences in the 2 states.

Every street corner in CA has at least 1.

Seems im mistaken in saying most but becoming more increasingly common
Yep, my wife was at Optum for about 10 years, and it went into effect 3 years ago, I think
