Get used to it. If you're not an elite program and still want a chance at the 12-team playoff, you're gonna see this.

Nothing on it anywhere, so you're getting bunched up because of a rumor?

UCLA may not be elite, but they've never shied away from playing SEC, ACC, or BigXII teams OOC.

Now do UGA’s non conference 2023
Yeah, this isn't the gotcha you think it is.

As you know, we had OU as an OOC, but the SEC canceled the game. You should know that because the same thing happened to you. You had an extra year to schedule NCSU; we had no choice but to schedule Ball State.

As for our OOC, GTFOH. This is our OOC for a 32-year period and doesn't include OU and TX, who were dropped by the SEC when they joined. It also doesn't include additional games against Oregon and tOSU that were cancelled due to the scheduling changes when ATM and Missouri joined the SEC. And, we play Georgia Tech every year. They won the ACC during this time period, and actually have had years of success.

2002 - Clemson
2003 - @Clemson
2005 - Boise St.
2006 - Colorado
2007 - Oklahoma St.
2008 - @Arizona St.
2009 - Arizona St., @Oklahoma St.
2010 - @Colorado
2011 - Boise St. (Atl)

2023 - the one fucking year you mention. Hmmmm.
2024 - Clemson (Atl)
2025 - @UCLA
2026 - @Louisville, UCLA
2027 - @FSU, Louisville
2028 - FSU
2029 - @Clemson

So when UGA cancels games its all good.

When UCLA does it, they are pussies.

Well as you already konw we were supposed to be playing at Georgia this year. And I see you also failed to mention Alabama, Lsu, Tennesse, texas, Auburn, Ole Miss, Missouri, and South Carolina on that schedule. Hope you have fun with Vandy, Arky, A&M etc.
We are talking non conference games, man.. we aren't talking conference scheduling..

I wonder how many FSU players hit the transfer portal in '27 and '28 or if they actually field a team those years.

:dhd:

What I want to know is what counts as the SEC P5 non-conference requirement of one a year now.

I guess it is B1G, ACC and Big 12 teams although the Big 12 does not look anything like it did when the requirement was put into place. That being the case then technically Houston counts.

The problem is these games were never easy to get scheduled, especially for Auburn, because teams don't want to play us. With the playoff expanding and wins vs losses being a much bigger deal for ACC and B1G teams Auburn's ability to get games is probably going to be much tougher.

What really needs to happen is the B1G and SEC need to take the 2nd week of the season and schedule B1G vs SEC match ups across that weekend. It would make everyone's schedule so much easier to manage and that one weekend alone would kill it on the ratings scale.

New Mexico St was giddy to play @ Auburn last season.

Stop ... UGA, LSU, Bama have no problem scheduling good, quality OOC games. No one is scared of Auburn such that they won't schedule you.
