Bookie:
$ 1,000.00
the SEC has to change that. No way you have UGA v. UT and F1. The cost of rooms and air fare would be off the charts.

yeah if you want to stay in downtown austin.. but you can get a good price room elsewhere.. probably need to check out hotels in Buda or Cedar Park area... but you already have the date, go ahead and put in a reservation in now

I'm going to do the same thing for Ann Arbor

I'll rent my upstairs rooms for....

Buddies and I did this for the Nd-Ohio State game. Got our room way in advance. Fucking hotel sold and new owners said they didn't have to honor previous reservations. Needless to say the rooms now were over $225/night more than what we had previously reserved them at.

After bitching a lot and talking to a bunch of different people they did end up going back and giving us are original reservation price

A bunch of Eurotrash F1 weirdos roaming around town for a weekend jacking up prices for everything, partially because they’ll spend thousands on race tickets and travel, but won’t tip wait staff?

Hard pass.

I love watching F1, I have no interest in being around people that attend F1 races.

Any reservations of VRBO type reservations are going to be subject to change once they figure out they can triple the cost.

It doesn't mean as much when it is going to rain and be REALLY REALLY cold also...if you are making a list.

By really really cold you mean like 40 degrees, right?

I had to work in Augusta 3 years in a row during Masters week. The Red Roof I normally stayed in would go from 80 bucks a night to 500 bucks a night.

I stayed well out of town.

sounds like what happened to UT fans that reserved rooms in Tuscaloosa.. only for those spots to cancel them and double up the price. That's the reason why we stayed in Birmingham then made the short trip with the rental we got.

Luckily i can just stay with my brother in South Austin.. I can also park free on campus (he works for an all woman dormitory)

When we went to the NCG last year, we booked our flights and hotels well in advance. Stayed in Vegas, rented a car and drove to LA.

Our rooms were comped through our Harrah’s rewards, 500 bucks round trip for flights and 750 a piece for game tickets. Really cheap trip minus the 5K the casino got off me.

We booked everything before there was a guarantee of UGA being in the playoffs, much less the NCG. Figured worst case, we could sell the tickets and just have a long weekend in Vegas.

My great uncle had passed away a week before we left and his daughter lives in Vegas and was on the same flight out. She said her tickets were 1000 a piece one way for her and her two teenage kids.

The problem with open wheel drivers coming to NASCAR is a lot of them think having fenders means you have to use them, that’s how you get F1 champions like Jacques Villeneuve embarrassing themselves in a stock car on a track named after your dad

I can do rain and I can do 40 degrees but I don't want to do both at the same time anymore. If we are getting in the 30s then forget it I'm just not made for that and will watch on TV.

I was in Chicago 6 years ago on a campus visit with my daughter and it was about 27 degrees and a constant misting rain on a Sunday with the Bears in town. People were loaning onto the L left and right to get to the game and all I could think was F that.

Cold+rain is the absolute worst. I'd much rather do 20 and snowing than 40 and raining
