UT and OU to SEC in 2024

Ah, you want to keep OU and Texas, that would be a brutal league. You would probably have to do the 8 conf and 4 OOC games schedule.
12 team conferences with 8 conference games with a mandatory two major program OOC games per season is the direction everyone needs to go. It’s a better product that way

Actually a pretty solid job of lowkey trolling everybody by the SEC offices.

Three different 'Tigers'. Now three different crimson & white teams. Shit must be confusing.
Take a look at the big ten and red teams. You could split the divisions between red teams and non red teams and it would be more balanced than now.

Yeah, I can see Auburn getting a Mississippi team. Then again, you may want Florida instead.

I am hearing that is almost the opposite, teams are complaining because they want the "big-name" opponents so when they see Miss State or Vandy, they are complaining.
Once you adjust to the idea that a 3 loss team may get into the playoffs. Perhaps this will push scheduling in the right direction for fans, because a loss or 2 no longer eliminates a team from contention. Strength of schedule may start to actually matter in CFB going forward

Possibly but keep in mind that the reason most teams schedule the UT Martins of the world is not necessarily because they are an easy "win" (heck sometimes teams lose these games and it is very embarrassing). They do it because they get the free home game with no return which means more $$$.

lol bro.. in the SEC and in the BiG, NONE of those schools will be hurting for money.. PAC and ACC teams would obviously love doing home and homes .. Quit making excuses (not you, necessarily) for schools to schedule trash for OOC games. Don't be ou lol

Most of the Power 5 schools are not "hurting" for money but definitely the home games bring the $$$ and that is the reason you get the G5/Division II home games is to get the concession, ticket sales, etc. Most schools in the SEC have historically preferred the 8 home games and 4 road games Setup. This is why they usually only schedule one opponent OOC game on the road.

Why did you guys leave for the SEC? You weren't "hurting" for money in the Big12.

They must be hurting for money. They keep getting more and more so the haven’t reached “enough” yet!

55 mil compared to nearly 100mil?

Well for UT, it's more to do with how much value it carries.. it's not going to settle with making half of what Ole Miss and Vandy are going to make.

EXACTLY... as stated, teams want the home game with no return. That is why we get games like Ball State at Tennessee.

Well, Ole Miss and Vandy will be getting the same amount as your rusty cows (and OU, Bama, Georgia etal will) so they must carry the same "value". No?

Historically, big football schools generate more revenue (not necessarily profit) off a home football game with merchandise, concession, and ticket sales than you do off TV contracts.

Having 100,000 people visit Knoxville to watch home football games must not have impact on the local economy at all according to your logic.

But no, it must because all of these schools are afraid to play other Power 5 teams. (That sounds like a child's take on why there are so many easy home games).

bro they aren't making that much vs Ball fucking state

UT plays UTEP, RICE a lot because it's giving money to schools in their system.. Not because UT is making sooooo much money hosting them lol

Eh?

Average ticket prices to a tejas football game are $61.
DKR capacity is 100,119.

$61 x 100,119 = $6,107,259 revenue.
That's not even talking gameday concessions and sales of (licensed) apparel of which the university gets a cut of.

A Big 12 team gets $42 million/year for their media rights. At 12 games that's $3.5 million per game.

There's good reason these teams want home games.
