Victory Day Thursday

Yeah, I'm totally fired up.

I'll just toss this subject in the file with things you don't know shit about. I'll put it right here, next to percentages.
whatever you say, chief

You know I'm just fuckin' wit'cha. Sorry to hear that. What took him out? [further tasteless jokes suppressed]
pancreatic cancer

Dang. Tough one. Did he find out before trying chemo?
identified around Christmas 2014, had a whipple procedure, removed 2/3 of his pancreas followed by a round of chemo.

was told he was "cancer free" before it showing back up in his liver a few months later. Tried chemo again, but it was too much. Passed away 18 months after finding it.

Sorry, dude. That's the worst. ...Going through the hell of multiple rounds of chemo only to have it take you out anyway. I won't make any more dad jokes directed at you. (Hopefully I remember that.) It can be fun to be a dick, but I don't want to be an asshole.

2) Lately here at the office, there's been some guy not flushing the urinal. I want to leave a sign in there reminding folks to flush and also drink more water. Mother fucker is leaving liquid rust in the urinal.
LOL I do that to conserve water but I’m in a desert

I'm with you there, other than the "hard no." I really did not want Slink Jr playing football, but fortunately he never showed too much interest.

When he was younger, he tried soccer and basketball but ended up playing lacrosse and baseball until he had to choose one. He went with baseball, which I was a little disappointed with, but fully supported him and continue to do so.
I wouldn't mind him playing flag before high school, but until I at least know that the coach has some serious sports education, I'd rather not risk my kid's brain health.

I believe I've had just 1 kid get a concussion on any team I've coached. It was in the now defunct 3rd & 4th grade league I was an assistant on. Happened during a practice scrimmage and bc the other coach was an asshole. Told his kid to ignore our whistles and he ran over a little corner after the whistles blew. Kid basically turned around from guarding his WR and RB nailed him. Fortunately for that coach we tended to our player or we may have had coaches in a fist fight over it.
More concerned about being coached improperly and being set up for either compounding sub-concussive impacts or a big concussion.

Shit, they start the kids with tackle in 3rd grade in our district.

It's actually pretty fun to watch because their necks aren't fully strong enough to hold the helmets so they look like bobbleheads running around the field.

Slinkette II will be cheering for the 3rd graders next year, so I'm looking forward to that.

I have two things to report.

1) This morning, I turned a corner in the locker room and there was a guy with his back to me, completely naked and hairy af except for his ass cheeks. He was also short. Dude looked like an Ewok with a shaved ass.

Thanks for not doxing me

Afternoon all

Had a work meeting yesterday, I was supposed to present about my team, I planned to talk for 15-20 minutes, but our director gave an unexpected QA session and another leader started rambling and I was given the floor ~5 minutes before the meeting was scheduled to end. I personally hate when meetings go over, so I did speed run of my presentation, talking fast and just hit high points I wanted to touch on, and got meeting over with about 30 seconds to spare before 3pm

Tipping is out of hand. Why do i now have to tip at places that have done nothing but hand me a sandwich?
In Minneapolis minimum wage is $16.00 or so, so I don't feel obligated to tip at quick serve places as they all increased their rates to compensate the higher wage (Which I'm ok with).

Full service places I still tip, but rarely go over 20% now.

Few restaurants here tried to go no tip, almost all of them went back to tipping as
1. Customers didnt' like higher prices, even if total bill was same
2. Had hard time attracting servers

I know few restaurants that have stuck with QR code ordering system and just people bringing out food drinks, i actually kind of like it.
