Pretty sure that’s instantaneous, but I’d like to be educated if it’s not.It is called Commotio Cordis.
Commotio cordis occurs when a person is hit in the chest and that impact triggers a dramatic change in the rhythm of their heart. The blow could come from an object, such as a baseball or hockey puck, and may not seem especially serious in the moment. However, commotio cordis is often fatal.
Good continuous CPR with oxygen being administered can help to prevent this, but its not 100%Hopefully there has not been brain damage due to lack of blood flow. Hopefully.
Yes I heard that alsoJust for the record the NFL tried pulling that 5 minute break bullshit before the coaches told them to piss off and sent the teams to the locker room.
Including you. We get it, you think he’s dead. All the internet doctors are out tonight
Is that on the record? Or just your speculation or repeating espn speculation?Just for the record the NFL tried pulling that 5 minute break bullshit before the coaches told them to piss off and sent the teams to the locker room.
Career ending? Sign me up for the lynch mob to fry his ass.Yea, the NFLPA and the general shit storm that would cause would be career ending for Goodell
No shit. Saw some interesting medical commentary from a physician who saw the play and noted that Hamlin got hit right in the heart area. He theorized that if a hit to that area occurred just as the heart finishes a beat cycle and heads into the next, it would likely cause cardiac arrest. The odds of that happening is crazy high. Milliseconds! Any other time, the hit would not produce that result. All the internet doctors are out tonight
They were literally being told that in real timeIs that on the record? Or just your speculation or repeating espn speculation?
Did you witness this?
Honestly I wouldn’t want a refund either. Donate it to his family. For real, shit's not that hard. Figure it out, no one cares, or should care.
It’s what the other poster commented on before. When I was playing baseball as a youth, we often talked about it. It’s a thing. It kills baseball kids every year.No shit. I know shit medically, except applying bandaids but its an Interesting speculation nonetheless. Hope Hamlin is OK.
