Well, Let's Discuss CFP Rankings For 11/29

Well, B1G boss says that Michigan and Buckeyes should both be in the CFP after playing a "classic" game. Wonder if he watched the same game we did.

I am pretty sure I will miss something here. I know you all can find out what I did state incorrectly... and correct me.
Georgia is in regardless.
TCU. In with a win, but I really feel the CFP wants them out because a definite lack of branding.
Michigan. Maybe still in with a loss, a close loss. Like I said... Maybe.
Southern Cal. In with a win.

That's the easy part. Now, if things fall apart. I am not going to say who loses, but you get the idea. These are just overall generalizations:

Ohio State
THE GOOD

1 loss
no bad losses (like to a team with a sucky record)
did not play an FCS team
played 7 teams with 50% wins or better and had a 6-1 record vs. them
THE BAD
lost at home by quite a few points to an undefeated team

Tennessee
THE GOOD

2 losses
no bad losses (like to a team with a sucky record)
lost on the road to undefeated Georgia, score was close, game was not (this is kinda in between good and bad I guess)
played 8 teams with 50% wins or better and had a 6-2 record vs. them
THE BAD
lost on the road by a lot to South Carolina (8-4 record)
played an FCS team

Alabama
THE GOOD

2 losses
no bad losses (like to a team with a sucky record)
lost on the road to Tennessee in a very close game
lost on the road to LSU in a very close game
played 7 teams with 50% wins or better and had a 5-2 record vs. them
THE BAD
played an FCS team

If TCU loses or Southern Cal loses, or both, which team deserves the spot(s)?

IMO:

- UGA, UM are in
- TCU is in unless they lose by a total blowout
- USC in with win
- whoever is 5th on Tues is in if USC loses - think it will be tOSU
- UTjr is out - 2 bad losses and Hooker injured

If it goes to chalk:

UGA v USC in Atlanta/Peach
UM v TCU in Fiesta

Same. I'm expecting at least a fucking full court press push like we've never seen before on behalf of Bama from ESPN and the rest of the talking heads though.

Wouldn't be shocked if they actually get it, actually I somewhat expect it.

One thing is certain...if they're going to put a 2 loss in the playoff, it'll be Bama.

Fuckers will probably win the NC too. lol

I can see this. Watch the CFP have Ole Miss and Mississippi State ranked as high as possible to push the Alabama opponents' record up. Might even have LSU up there pretty good too to make the Alabama loss not seem bad even though they just lost to Texas A&M. In Alabama's defense, they didn't lose by bunches to either Tennessee or LSU and didn't lose at home. LOL. Alabama gets in and wins this whole thing, folks will scream for a change NEXT season.

If there's one thing that will rally most of the country together against the playoff, itll be Alabama getting pushed in with 2 losses without even making their CCG.

Bama isnt getting in. if TCU and USC had 1 loss and then lost in their CCG -- then they would have a chance. OSU will be 5 tonight.

I don't think any really "deserve" it. Its more of someone has to get it if TCU or USC slip up.

Tennessee is 100% out though. Their season was over playoff wise when Hooker got hurt.

Well. About 15 minutes away. Wonder what the CFP folks will have cooked up for us...

Did we get a ranking boost after hiring Rhule?

Only one team made it from the initial ranking to the final ranking.

Pete Golding should be murdered. We are missing the playoffs because He put a fucking safety on JALIN FUCKKIN HYATT THE WHOLE FUCKING GAME!!

Fuck Him. I hope he gets hit by a fucking bus…or train

The thing I don't "quite" get is Tennessee. They beat Alabama, they beat LSU at LSU. LSU beats Alabama. We think when Tennessee lost bad to South Carolina that the Gamecocks weren't that great. Then, they beat Clemson at Clemson. LSU who just lost to a bad Texas A&M team got beat by Alabama. Alabama's losses were close and not at home. Did the committee get it right?
