What are you reading?

they are all very quick reads...but I kind of enjoy that about them. They don't need to be drawn out, just Murderbot doing Murderbot things with all his drones and protecting his humans

Also, Alexander Skarsgard playing Muderbot

Trailer is finally out.

Got Golden Son from the library. Also, while I was there, I got the first in the "Gentlemen Bastards" series by Scott Lynch, The Lies of Locke Lamora, because of course I can't just read one series at a time

Never heard of the "Gentleman Bastard" series. I'm gonna give it a look see. Enjoy Golden Son. Epic.

Gentlemen Bastards is a fun series, you will like that one.

Scott Lynch has been going through some shit, similar to Rothfuss, so fans are rabid for the next book in the series.

I'm 150+ pages into Locke Lamora, pretty good so far. I like the way he is weaving back and forth between when Locke was a kid and the present day, it really keeps the book moving.

Finished Golden Son Monday, nice cliffhanger ending. I didn't expect him to reveal who "Ares" was so soon in the series, but I guess it's because it was originally only going to be a trilogy? Picking up book 3 tomorrow

I finished Wind and Truth last night.

Started Red Country by Joe Abercrombie. Will be nice to finish off that set if First Law books...not sure when I will get around to the second trilogy.

So right now I am into:
Red Country by Joe Abercrombie
Royal Assassin by Robin Hobb
Open by Andre Agassi

and an audiobook or 2...

Soon you will be like me, pining for the 7th and final book, Red God.

I started The Lies of Locke Lamora. Only 40 pages in and not hooked yet.

Just finished Morning Star, it was good but seemed a little too perfect at the end. Going to start the second Gentlemen Bastards now before getting into the next arc of Darrow

I started working through Stephen King's The Dark Tower series. I started the second book, The Drawing of the Three last week.

I tried reading this series when I was younger and it was over my head...and I couldn't get into King's writing...so trying again.

Finished Joe Abercrombie's Red Country....which is basically a Western in a fantasy world...but not much in terms of magic or anything. Final standalone book of the First Law universe. It was good. I like how he writes his characters.
