What are you reading?

That’s awesome news. My only complaint is that they are so short, I want more lol
they are all very quick reads...but I kind of enjoy that about them. They don't need to be drawn out, just Murderbot doing Murderbot things with all his drones and protecting his humans

Also, Alexander Skarsgard playing Muderbot

Just finished Sunlit Man by Sanderson...If you're a Stormlight fan, you will love it, it has a Rosharan as a main character (no spoilers)

Just started Yumi and the Nightmare Painter, only about 30 pages in so not much has happened yet.

After Yumi, going to finally start Brown's Red Rising series
You'll enjoy the Red Rising series. When I started it, I stupidly assumed there were only 6 books in the series. I got to the end, only to realize there will be a 7th and final book. I wait impatiently.

Hopefully the last book is out by the time I get through the rest of them

driving to NJ today, so will likely put some time into The Book of Doors audiobook I have been listening to. I am enjoying it...feels like a mix of fantasy with a Blake Crouch book (Recursion, Dark Matter)

Will probably take The Royal Assassin with me or my Kindle and find something on there. I have been reading Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie...but not sure I am getting into it at all.

I’m sold, I’ll add it to my audible list. I’m always looking for anything like Dark Matter, the book and show are both phenomenal.

I don't want to get your hopes up too high by describing it as Blake Crouch-esque...it doesn't have the same supernatural feel and it didn't go as heavy into that sort of thing as I would have liked. It's still a good read though, but I wouldn't put it where I originally categorized it.

it's such a good series

It gets better and better.

Fear the Reaper
Book one was a complete roller coaster. He set up the premise of the series really well with the short time below surface. The rest of the book was like a weird combo of Hunger Games and Harry Potter

it gets better and better...then worse..then better.

it's a fucking rollercoaster, that's for sure.

I am hoping to reread Morning Star this year

it gets away from that quickly and becomes a mix of politics and war...the Institute is a good time though

It gets a little slow in spots, but that doesn't take away from the experience. I eagerly await "Red God", the final book, but now I hear it may not be out until mid 2026, and he's toying with making it a Part 1/Part 2. One assumes to make more $$$$.

the books have been getting thicker and thicker...I am sure he wants to end the saga the way he wants to end it.

the dude writes pretty quickly and I love his style...I don't want him to hold anything back.

He sure doesn't hold back. Incredible detail. That's what makes the series so good. I'd love to see a movie, but Hollywood would only destroy it.
