What was your first car?

Ford Pinto, right??
Right?
As much as my dad loved Fords, we never once owned a pinto. He was too afraid to stick any of his kids in something so small. But he did have a 72 Maverick, for a short time. Grabber hood, 302, but automatic. Basically a stretched out Pinto

This color ^ but with a lot more rust and bondo

I’ve got an 84 F-250 with the 460 big block right now(not my daily driver) it’s technically a 4 speed, in practice is a 3 speed. First gear is pretty much a granny gear that you only use if you’re pulling a real heavy load or starting up a very steep hill, and once you’re in 4th, it’s basically an automatic until you stop
My Grandpa had a '78 4 speed and 1st meant you were crawling. It had a 400 HP. The gas gauge when down just backing out of the garage. It was nothing fancy but I loved that truck for sentimental reasons

You can literally see the gas hand going down in mine. 8 mpg whether you’re pulling a house or no load at all and like a 15 gallon tank.

Cold natured as hell. You burn like 1/8 of a tank revving it up before you can take off in during the winter

I look at those trucks and nothing but metal inside with maybe some vinyl on the dash. Great trucks. Hell with mpg!

Pops was REALLY into Fords. He restored several Galaxy 500's later in life, I think that was his favorite car ever. Had a black 64 like this one:

He didn't bother with rims, had the original hubcaps:

First car I got to drive was a big yellow Suburban.

Used to drive down the center of the road playing Pacman.

My second car was a 1967 VW Beetle (with the bus, everyone wanted me to drive everywhere).
