Should Michigan, TCU or LSU lose and leaves one spot open ... who gets it?

I say ohio state because they only have one loss (although I don't want to see them again this year).

Depends who it is that losses.

IMO, I think the only team who could lose where it will replace the team is, I'm guessing you meant USC, is if USC loses. I think OSU gets in if USC loses.

There is a SLIGHT possibility if TCU loses, OSU may sneak in.

Georgia and Michigan could both lose and they are both still in.

Wished I would have seen this thread first. I just copied my post from the other thread. Hope that isn't a problem.

Ohio State
THE GOOD

1 loss
no bad losses (like to a team with a sucky record)
did not play an FCS team
played 7 teams with 50% wins or better and had a 6-1 record vs. them
THE BAD
lost at home by quite a few points to an undefeated team

Tennessee
THE GOOD

2 losses
no bad losses (like to a team with a sucky record)
lost on the road to undefeated Georgia, score was close, game was not (this is kinda in between good and bad I guess)
played 8 teams with 50% wins or better and had a 6-2 record vs. them
THE BAD
lost on the road by a lot to South Carolina (8-4 record)
played an FCS team

Alabama
THE GOOD

2 losses
no bad losses (like to a team with a sucky record)
lost on the road to Tennessee in a very close game
lost on the road to LSU in a very close game
played 7 teams with 50% wins or better and had a 5-2 record vs. them
THE BAD
played an FCS team

If TCU loses or Southern Cal loses, or both, which team deserves the spot(s)?

With Hooker out -- I think Tennessee is out of the running. I think Bama is out as well, as no team in the history of the CFP has made it in with 2 losses. That leaves OSU. I think if USC loses OSU is in. TCU losing is where it could get sketchy. We shall see.

I knew it. @NewPhoneWhoDis I meant to add the point about Hooker being out. Good addition.

It'll be Ohio State should one of TCU or USC lose. If both lose that'll be interesting.

Great tossed salad option to give us a change up from the Mayo based bullshit we usually have.

Ohio State has the best loss! :hammer:

(i dont want to get blown out again, take bama)

UW, KSU, Clemson (if they win), Utah.

If either TCU or USC choke in their CCG, then at least one of the four above teams should get it. If both choke, then any combination of would work imo.

Or just put TCU & USC in anyway, regardless of CCG.

The sport desperately needs some new blood. America is sick and tired of putting up with shit from Alabama & OHST. Ditto for Clemson & LSU, although to a lesser degree.

Please, for the love of God (not even religious btw), let someone else have the stage.

You guys are overthinking it IMO. There are 5 teams that have a chance: Georgia, Michigan, TCU, USC and Ohio State.

Georgia and Michigan are in.

TCU is in with a win or a USC loss.

USC is in with a win.

Ohio State is in if TCU or USC loses.

There was quite the conversation yesterday on local sports radio about how much a W over Bama in the playoffs would help our recruiting.

Theory was Bama isn’t really Bama this year and MI would prob beat them.

If it's between Ohio State and Alabama, I'd say Ohio State. Though it's my opinion that no team should be in unless they win their conference. I know I'm in a minority. And I said before the Ohio State game, on this forum, that I didn't want Michigan in if we lost. That loss should mean something.
