World Cup 2022 Qatar

Looks like Messi finally has teammates that actually step up in big games.

Yup. No Gonzalo Iguain. I remember a few wide open nets he missed including (thankfully) the 2014 World Cup final against Manuel Neuer and Germany. I believe he had a sitter in that game he gaffed. A few other gaffs too. Copa America 2016 or 17 I believe a huge gaff.

I heard Rabiot and Upamecano ill for France. Some reports say they are doubtful some say they are starting. You have to be on your death bed not to start a World Cup semi-final imo. Need to get into NHL playoff mode here, where at end of playoffs you hear the crazy injuries some of those guys played with.

Oh my Messi. Just wow
He is still so fun to watch. PK was fire. The assist was just ridiculous, and the touch that started the break that ended with the Alvarez goal was special too. Pretty great game from Messi today.

Morocco France or Argentina

Yuck.

Give me the hurricane

I guess Morocco because it would be funny

Even though he majority of their team is actually from Europe (Netherlands, Belgium, France or Spain) and their GK is from Canada.

DiMaria too, he never stepped up when it mattered. And they never used Aguero properly (the way they use Alvarez) IMO.

I forgot about those two also. Scaloni has gotten it right. Basically told Dybala and Martinez that Alvarez was starting over them before World Cup started. Nailed that.

No brainer really. I like Dybala, and he's good, but he and Messi play the same position and both predominantly left footed. Martinez is good too, but Alvarez is something else.

1-0 Les Bleus.

1-0 Les Bleus.
Can Bayern sign Theo Hernandez also? We lost his brother to an ACL so he sounds like a perfect replacement at Bayern too.

Giroud now with several opportunities to put this game away

Giroud should’ve had that one.

Morocco lucky not to have another yellow on a tackle a bit ago too

wow. what an attempt
