World Cup Qualifying

7 points is a must in the next set of games. 2 home games and away to Canada

Reading analysis, USA should have lost. Not good. If you can't beat Jamaica on the road, good luck with Mexico and Canada too on the road...better teams imo.

For whatever reason, this team is absolute shit on the road. No energy. Playing scared the entire time. Don't know what it is but Berhalther needs to figure it the fuck out. Blew a great chance to put a tiny bit of separation in the standings with a win. Instead we tie and everyone is still bunched up. Like bk said, we're definitely gonna need at least 7 next set of games

McKennie gets himself suspended for all the road games ...that doesn't help either.

They suck on the road, but to be fair that Antonio goal was a screamer, he can be a beast.

Break up the Canadians!

Sweet 2nd goal.

Even a scrap.

That's the weather I had to play soccer in as a youth. and as bad as that field was, ours was way worse.

Gravel/sand/mud. And out balls weren't those nice ones they use today, they were brown leather lumps that got soaked and felt like you were kicking a brick. And to head one of those suckers was out of the question as the field was stuck to the ball and you ended up with gravel in your forehead.

Boo hoo to Mexico...

Home field you do what can to your advantage, but it is also the same in Central America, shitty fields, intimidating fans throwing projectiles, humid weather. It is not easy going to Panama, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica. I remember USA vs El Salvador they had a big chain link fence around the stadium and throwing all this shit when USA tryng to do corners.

Speaking of Canada, their mens and womens teams are rocking now. Remember the women's team won the Olympics. I see Phonsie sitting out Bayern game tomorrow...at least not starting.

hopefully this is the last world cup where we have to play teams like san marino!! think how few games everyone has to play without andorra etc

All that jet setting.

They may be small and have almost zero chance, but they deserve their shot as much as anyone else.

Well the smaller teams in Europe should maybe have to qualify to get in the Group Stage in Europe. I am just comparing to CONCACAF where there is no Bermuda, Trinidad and Tobago, Guatamala, Martinique, etc. I remember there used to be...i.e. 2018 when Trinidad and Tobago knocked the USA out of qualifying.

I remember we played them at like a high school soccer field. There was like 30 people in the stands. And some how they beat us ……sigh……….

Wow

WOW!!! I thought there were seeded teams. Portugal and Italy should not be in same group. Always a giant does't make it but for Italy to do it back to back unreal. Italy has injuries, but Portugal no excuse. Team full of underachievers.

USA Roster named. Pretty heavy with MLS players. Is that a good thing since they have been off a while? Maybe one or two too many. Why four goaltenders? I am surprised no Joe Scally on defense and Prefok has 11 goals for Young Boys on roster. 7 points or better or I am disappointed. El Salvador and Honduras in cold USA locations must win. Loss or tie unacceptable. Canada on the road with no Alphonso Davies (COVID complications) then I expect a tie. Only USA players not available are Busio (COVID) and Reyna (hamstring still). Other than that, full roster.
