World Cup Qualifying

Also, starting Thursday: Euro World Cup playoffs. Interesting matchups:

Italy, Turkey, Portugal in one group. Italy plays North Macedonia and Turkey versus Portugal. Winners play for one spot in World Cup. Single elimination games. One of Italy and Portugal not going to World Cup.

Also group with Czech, Sweden, Poland. Poland already advanced (Russia tossed) to play winner of Czech versus Sweden. If Sweden play Poland in final it will be Lewey vs Ibra for spot in World Cup.

Afcon games too to see if Salah and Mane make the Cup. Little easier for them since two leg games.

True. Germany playing a couple friendlies too next few days. Israel and Switzerland. Useless games to get hurt in. Goretzka kept off German roster for caution.
 
Well might as well not even watch tomorrow. Berhalter saying well we can't win in Mexico lets play a B team. What an idiot. Coach already has no faith. Did that in Panama too. You play a B team when you have qualified. He plays B team tomorrow and then loses to Panama too because A team not getting time together in competition. You play A team in all 3. By the way, isn't the USA a B team and C and D team mostly? Who is an A player? McKennie I would say, maybe Pulisic but no one else is. Ariola, Acosta, Morris, Zimmerman, etc that is your C and D team. Berhalter: USMNT pondered 'B' team vs. Mexico

Yeah I don't care what happens but he should be fired after these 3 games. Your spot in the WC is far from locked up and you really sounded ready to concede 1 of these 3 games. Absoultely embarrassing

North Macedonia only team to beat Germany in World Cup Qualifying for 2022 in Group Stage. North Macedonia beat Italy in knockout playoff in Italy. Not a team to take lightly. Italy did. If only Jorginho had hit the penalty against Switzerland and this would not be for Italy now.

Italy out of the WC back to back lol.

Assuming they make the WC in 2026, that would be their first since 2012......doesn't make sense

Yedlin and Weah got themselves suspended for Panana game. No right back for USA. All injured, have COVID, or suspended.

USA didn't play too bad. Had their chances. Mexico didn't have many opporunities.

All games last I looked are tied. So nothing could change tonight if these results stand.

You know who is very happy right now? Christiano Ronaldo. Portugal get North Macedonia now to make World Cup. Game in Porto next week. Also with Sweden win, we get to see Lewandowski vs Ibrahimovic

Me too. One thing was great to see. Reyna. Man he looked good. Should have assisted on winning goal for Prefuk. Too bad the same old problems with the number 9's. Number 9's so bad for USA. At least Adams didn't get a yellow but Weah and Yedlin out now.

Canada did lose. First loss in Qualifying. Costa Rica in Costa Rica not easy. Another location where USA never won and they will be there next week too.
