Worst head coach that you had to endure from your favorite team?

Has any coach fallen farther, faster than Willingham?

Looked really good at Stanford and his 1st year at ND...not as good in his 2nd and 3rd year at ND before bottoming out at UW.
It was like watching......................

His first year at ND was all smoke and mirrors. He had an above average defense that was opportunistic in key games. The offense was putrid. They progressively got worse due to his atrocious recruiting. He spent more time on the golf course than in recruits’ homes.

Sparty had a couple stinkers with John L Smith and Bobby Williams, but Frank Waters during the early 80s was probably the worst head coach in East Lansing.

He greatly benefited from the perception that it is hard to win at Stanford. With that said, his Stanford tenure wasn't an anomaly for the school. He had two good seasons, two average seasons and three bad seasons there. He took them to the Rose Bowl in 1999, but that was only because the Pac was awful that year. They finished 8-4 and were unranked in the final AP poll.

Gotta think his ND hiring occurred because they were desperate after the O'Leary fiasco.

Dooley is actually a good person.

Pruitt is below a skid mark in things that have a redeemable quality.
Pruitt played at a poker game I went to a few months ago just across the Alabama line. Seemed fine in person. He definitely the donkey of the table though. He saved me from having a losing night
