Worst MLB franchise has got to be between the Angels and Rockies. Many may say the Marlins, but the Marlins have two world series in their 30 year existence, meanwhile the Angels have one world series since 1961 and have only 10 overall playoff appearances in that time span. The Rockies, who have been around as long as the Marlins, have only 4 playoff appearances and one world series appearance, but they lost.

Since the Rockies have been around 3 decades less than the Angels, I have to go with the Angels being the worst MLB franchise of all time.

Hard to argue, especially with the amount of money they've spent the last 15-20 years.

Angels charge $10 for parking, they can’t be woat

Rockies ainec

It’s the Mariners.

Only a handful of playoff appearances. Never been to a WS. Hadn’t made the playoffs since 2001 prior to last season.

They had a loaded roster in the 90’s with Griffey Jr, A-Rod, Edgar Martinez, Jay Buhner, Randy Johnson, etc and never got beyond the ALCS. They were God awful before then, they’ve been largely mediocre since.

Marlins are the worst ran, and only have two actual playoff appearances(we don’t count that everyone makes it 2020 season), but they do have those two WS titles

Before 2019, I would have said the Nats since they had never won a playoff series before their 2019 WS run, but that run brought them up the ladder a bit.

Padres would be my second team listed

Lowest all-time regular season win percentage in MLB goes to the Marlins at .460. They actually have the highest all-time win percentage in the post season, though, at .632.

The San Diego Padres have the second-lowest regular season win percentage in MLB history at .464 and the worst post season win percentage at .350.

The Padres definitely need to be in this conversation, too.

The Mariners have never had a loaded roster. They have had stars, HOFers overlap, but never a loaded roster.

They also had Fassero and Moyer who won 16 and 17 games respectively. And Moyer is in the Mariners HoF.

They ran into a buzzsaw of destiny in 2010 and got robbed in 2011.
We robbed ourselves in 2011 by having a special needs manager and an over the hill RF.

What about the Mariners, who have never, ever been in a WS?

How have the Brewers not been mentioned?
