Every McDonald's I've seen in the last 10 years or so has these purgatories.

I've never ordered anything 'special'. Just straight off the menu stuff, yet still get told to go park in "Reserved Stall #_" 50% of the time. I've been sent there for just ordering a Big Mac, Fry, and Coke. That's was the entire order.
Once you're in that "reserved" stall you become a low priority because someone has to walk your order out to you. Many times you have to go back in because something's missing anyway.

I actually like McDonald's Sausage Egg McMuffins for breakfast when I'm in a hurry.
They're not sloppy and I can eat them while driving.

I will stop there when it's BOGO.

I’m thinking the people at McDonalds must not like you. I think I might have gone to the reserved area like once or twice ever.

They'd eventually have to give you your food.

You're put there so they can juke their drive thru stats. The times are recorded and the managers are held accountable to them. If your order will either take too long to make or someone behind you just ordered a soda and nothing else, you're getting pushed ahead.

True, but you know that's going to be the case every time you go. You're order is still a priority to them and everybody's still in the original line.
They're not giving other vehicles food at the window that should be yours.

Of all the fast food burger joints, I put Culvers at the top.
