You said UGA had an easy schedule this year ...

In the first 8 weeks, you guys played one team with a winning record. That's why people called it soft.
Of course … yet, look what we did in the last 5 weeks. One was capable of doing that if they had a brain.

We had an easy schedule this year, but our next year schedule is a bitch

  • Aug. 31: vs. Fresno State
  • Sept. 7: vs. Texas #3
  • Sept. 14: vs. Arkansas State
  • Sept. 21: vs. USC - The best QB that ever lived (according to their QB)
  • Sept. 28: vs. Minnesota
  • Oct. 5: at Washington #2
  • Oct. 12: BYE
  • Oct. 19: at Illinois
  • Oct. 26: vs. Michigan State
  • Nov. 2: vs. Oregon #6
  • Nov. 9: at Indiana
  • Nov. 16: BYE
  • Nov. 23: vs. Northwestern
  • Nov. 30: at Ohio State #7

So we play the current #1, #2, #3, #6 and #7. Most teams usually beat themselves so I included Michigan.

Georgia's Out of Conference is Clemson - very respectful.
With expansion and no divisions, SEC and B1G teams are going to have some losses. Undefeated ain’t happening any more.

Georgia didn’t make playoffs so don’t give a shit. The run is over. Time for the new bloods to take over.
Just starting a new 29 game streak. We are not going anywhere. Over the next decade will be in nine out of 10 CFP‘s. Can’t wait to win it on the field in the CFP.

Two points I’d like to make.

Georgia is clearly the best team in the nation.

Alabama is very beatable.
Based on what? If Georgia truly was the best team -- they would have boat raced Bama.

Georgia lacks the dominate defense they had the last two years. They rank 40th in yards per carry this year at 3.86. That's a full yard more per carry than the last two years.

They also gave up 13 rushing touchdowns. In 2021 and 2022 they gave up 8 combined.

There is no dominate team this year.

What makes Alabama a better team than Florida State? Does the best team always win? I think Georgia is the best team ... it is based on their recent history, my subjective opinion and my eye test. An objective selection would have put Florida State #3, and Texas #4. Michigan lucked out playing Alabama instead of Texas.

Nothing does. The Committee said so.

The best team doesn't always win, but it doesn't change the fact, people keep talking about Georgia as if it is 2021 or 2022. What made those teams so good was the fact they could completely shut teams down. You couldn't run the ball if you wanted to on them. That isn't the case this year.

Personally for me -- I wanted to play Washington. I like how we matched up with them. I'm fine with Bama though. They aren't the type of Bama teams we have seen in the past. Though I HATE playing a running QB. I think it will be a great game.

Ohio State is taking the Michigan approach to OOC next year. Akron, Western Michigan and Marshall. What a murderers row!
Lets not forget, there have been many years when Ohio St played a very weak OCC schedule. Michigan didn't start the trend

I can't believe Vandy scored 20 points against the Bulldogs....LMFAO

BTW....Why does the SEC schedule only 8 conference games when most of the other conferences play 9 games?

Gotta squeeze that cupcake in late in the season to pump up the win totals.

Get this....

Only one team the Bulldogs faced in conference play had a winning conference record....Miz at 6 wins

Outside of Miz the next 7 have a combined total of wins of 17.

That's less than 2.5 wins per team.

The SEC has a bunch of punching bags no wonder they end up with records that get them into the playoffs.
