Yeah, I’ve never understood why people would rather watch Bama beat one of the lesser SEC teams 55-14 than watch Cincy and UCF play a 31-28 game. But, the prior seems to attract more eyeballs just because it is Bama. So I must be the one out of step. All that matters here is 'Will I get plenty of CFB options to meet MY preferences on my TV'?
That answer is yes.
Face it.... If a game between ranked teams on ESPN is a blowout, I'm switching to a more competitive game with unranked teams on FS1.
Green font.for us, but I'm sure Purdue vs IN on CBS will beat us by a few mill in the ratings dept

@OregonDucks - do you think ESPN really wants to broadcast Utah beating Oregon over and over vs playing reruns of Brittany Griner’s greatest games?
Asking for a woke friend.
It's conditioning.I’ve never understood why people would rather watch Bama beat one of the lesser SEC teams 55-14
You really wanna see Martinez in action, huh??
I’m with you. But you and I must be in the minority.Seems a bunch would rather watch brand name blowouts than good, close football games.I just want options and these TV deals give me that.
I understand SEC fans wanting to watch Bama destroy Mississippi St 49-9 so they can ride on Bama's coattails. SEC SEC SEC
Well, since I’m a long suffering Miner fan, my conditioning must put me at the other end of the spectrum. It's conditioning.
I grew up on Oklahoma football in the 70's
Those are the best games.
It'll interest me more than Rattler at South Carolina.
But I understand SEC fans would be more interested in watching Rattler.

Rattler wasnt good at OU last year. Not sure why anyone is expecting anything better with a worse supporting cast and stiffer competition.

I personally want to watch Nebraska opponents. I also watch Big 12 games because I'm familiar with most of them. Particularly the old Big 8 teams.
I rarely watched the SEC game on CBS. There are weeks it was not even in the rotation, or if it was it was lower on the list.
Mind you I lived in SEC country for 5 years back in the 80's, so I got a healthy dose of it. Without internet or national tv, It was difficult getting Big 8 news or games.

You are definitely in the minority with this aspect (granted SEC brand wasn't what it was in the 1980s versus today).
I see a lot of people moving down here and then jumping on the bandwagon. Heck, most of the "SEC Fans" are fans who don't have a lot of connection to specific SEC programs but come down here and like watching the sport/social aspect so they become generic SEC fans.
Like I said, I must be in the minority.I definitely sympathize but I think the issue can be explained with the following:
Why would people rather watch a 12-1 MLB versus a 3-2 Minor League Baseball game.
Cincinnati and UCF are considered a smaller league/style of play. Granted, I think going to Big12 will help them get more visibility and they are very strong G5 brands but Alabama is one of those top brands right now.
