tOfficial Fire Ryan Day thread.

Michigan will stay exactly where they always are, because our Administration is a nightmare. We won the B1G last year and went to the CFP and this year we have one of our lowest recruiting classes in a while.

Just looked at that actually. Lol Jesus. 0 top 100 guys? Wtf?

It would help if they used any of their 4 best rbs to be fair.

But the lack of a run game from the qb Is an issue

Harbaugh's got the right recipe going on.

People give him shit for running the ball so much early in the season, but I've defended him for 2 years now that you're not gonna win the Big 10 without running the ball.

You're the one here endlessly pimpin' Ohio St's 5 star WR's.

How's that work out for them in a physical games where you have to be able to run the ball?
Seeing as how they had to use a LB, who they moved to RB, as all their RB's were injured -- I'd say OSU's WRs did alright. UM was dropping 7 or 8 almost every down, playing safeties over the top and making OSU have long drives to score.

What lost OSU the game was again -- their defense.

Michigan admin isn't buying into the NIL. They won't turn a blind eye to even a high school credit (see Xavier Worthy, who was refused early enrollment, yet admitted to Texas imediately).

Michigan HAS to hit on any recruit they get in the top 200. If we don't -- they are going to fall off quickly and go back to beat the many mediocre teams in the B1G and getting hammered by the better teams.

You do realize Ohio State only has 6 conference losses in the last 11 years, right?

You're acting like OSU doesn't run the ball

They had over a 100 yards rushing in the first half with I repeat...a linebacker. The second half was a total shit show. But it was still a one score game with 7 mins left.

Yea man.. that's a huge difference.

I'm sitting here annoyed because OSU doesn't have a top 100 cb lol

Clowning on Jim Knowles.
Right? When I first saw the tweet about applying for the DC job I was like "oh shots fired". But after reading his others, the guy is just clowning and having fun

Of course I do, but Harbaugh has completely owned them up front two years in a row running the ball.
This Harbaugh you speak of? He wins games against Ohio?

That is because OSU has missed on their big 5 star guys on defense. Not that they don't have them anymore. They just weren't game changers like they had in the past. Zach Harrison was a 5 star top 5 guy, but he has been a disappointment. Jack Sawyer was a 5 star top 5 guy, but he has been a disappointment. JTT is the one 5 star guy who has played up for them.

THAT is why we have owned them. For the first time in a decade -- they didn't have a Nick Bosa, they didn't have a Joey Bosa, they didn't have a Chase Young. For a decade they have had lock down CB's and they didn't have that last year or this year. They don't have a Jeff Okudah, or a Marshon Lattimore, or a Gareon Conley, etc. etc. who can take away half the field.

The difference between Michigan and Ohio State is -- they continue to get those guys. So yes, while it is nice we have won a couple -- to think it will continue if we don't up our efforts in recruiting is foolish.

He's not in jail. So everything is a plus from there.

It is what I've been trying to explain to @Red_Alert -- that's why he goes on these tangents, as he doesn't like the fact I said -- in today's CFB, Nebraska will never be able to recruit at a level to compete for National Titles. He got salty, so we waste our time with these back and forths.

Funny thing is -- I said Michigan is in the same boat, just to a lesser extent, as the state of Michigan looks like a gold mine for blue chip recruits compared to Nebraska. He doesn't care though -- he thinks it is still the 80's and 90's, where recruits were called on rotary phones and schools had to mail recruiting info out.

The corner play has been shit for 3 years. Wade went outside in 2020 and was fucking terrible. He forgot how to play football during covid or something.

Their D somehow managed a heck of a performance against Clemson but Bama waxed them.

Burke seems like he could be decent but he's always injured and he regressed this year.

To me it's always possible a guy could conceivably take a Nebraska and make them kinda like Wisky lite....but they will never be what they were in the 90s.

Ohio State had to get really active in the South etc as well...Tress didn't do as much of that as Urban.

And every other state minus Pennsylvania in BIG country is way worse than Ohio
