Nebraska Cornhuskers 2023 Recruiting Thread (Commit list in OP)

not really a commit... but curious how this works out. is the legal stuff behind him?

Legal stuff was a slap on the wrist, not a big deal IMO. The real question is about where his mental health is at and how his work ethic is? I would be kind of surprised if this comes to fruition but if any new staff was going to take a chance on him it seems like Rhule's would be the one. Definitely worth watching for sure.

Some TE help might be on the way... Also being told nebraska is looking at a LBer as well.

ILB name to keep tabs on for the transfer portal.

Omar Speights... I think he might visit this weekend. Not sure yet

Sounds like there's a better chance of Zavier Betts coming back than I thought

Here's what I know....

1. Brett Seither is indeed visiting Nebraska right now... unsure what his time table is.
2. There has been contact between Nebraska and Omar Speights - no visit set up yet though
3. There has been contact between Nebraska and MJ Sherman - he may visit this weekend (biggest factor for him is playing time, given our depth at EDGE, he would get that here.
4. Rhule is visiting Raiola in Arizona today - thought is he is going to try to get him to come to next week's Junior Day
5. If Nebraska can figure out Zavier Betts' academic situation he will be back on the team for spring.

I'm not sure how to record that if he does come back... As a transfer? Lol... Not sure. I do think they're probably done at WR if Betts does come back.

Wow.... Walter Rouse flipping to OU instead... My God...

Highest bidder...

yeah... he apparently didn't even tell Rhule ahead of time, just flipped. I usually am fine with HS kids because they're immature and emotional, but Walter is a Stanford educated 22 year old man, he knew exactly what he was doing. Not a man of high character.

Yea, just saw your tweet. I agree, just don't understand why he announced if he was still deciding. I also don't recall OU even being on his list when he announced, were they?
