i'm sure as an ou fan.. the site of a female reproductive system is hard to look at

Agree with this comment.

Also teams are lobbying for more of the "top" teams versus the "bottom" teams actually from what I am reading. They want the bigger TV matchups for $$$.

So the teams that are getting the perceived "hard" 3 teams are actually happy in most instances.

I am not sure we have seen a full 3-6-6 breakdown that is finalized on who really are the 3 permanent matchups for everyone. Everything so far has really just been experts posting their best guesses.
There are no "bottom" teams in the SEC.

Auburn is not getting Bama, UGA and Florida.

I see Bama and UGA but they will throw us a bone in the 3rd.

SOS was never balanced for us so it ain’t a thing. Make it where we don’t have LSU, Bama, UGA and aTm every year and we come out ahead.

Yeah, I can see Auburn getting a Mississippi team. Then again, you may want Florida instead.

I am hearing that is almost the opposite, teams are complaining because they want the "big-name" opponents so when they see Miss State or Vandy, they are complaining.

lmao, this sport is a few years away from being the fucking drizzling shits
I know figuring out all this shit looks crazy, but when we see the schedules you are going to get in the SEC, and likely the B1G, it's going to be amazing.

I employ an ex-Bama PWO and we were meeting the last couple hours on a project. We got off on a tangent and he said they would have loved to play a schedule where in a single year they played LSU, AU, UTjr, UGA, OU and ATM, as an example. Players are wired differently than fans ... they want the great games, they aren't worried about how good the teams are.

Fans want great games too! ADs and coaches just shove the crappy ones down their throats.
Yeah, I agree that most fans do. But some are worried that if we don't play a bunch of Vandys and USCjrs and Ky we will suck.

Yeah, I think people are making much adieu over nothing.

@WhosYourDawggy summed it up well, just because you have 3 tough permanent opponents on paper doesn't mean they will always be tough and they only account for 3 out of 9 SEC games that year. Teams with easier permanent opponents will still be drawing very tough games in the other 6 games and your rotation is likely to give you easier teams in other 6 if you already have tough games. It might be a 1-2 game different, nothing as drastic as division split now.

Also you are going to see everyone often under 3-6-6. Every other year, you play EVERYONE. Let that sink in. Sure Tennessee may not have Florida every year but we will get them ALMOST every year which will still be a big deal.

What I found when I dug in matched my intuition. The only team that would be at a real disadvantage would be a team that draws the top 2 teams in the SEC. That will be Auburn for now. Back in the 90s, it would have UGA with UTjr and UF. It cycles.

This is why I have more of a tier system than rankings. There are schools that if an elite coach walks in the door, they can get turn around and turn around fast. However, there are some schools that elite coaches can get at and it will take more effort or they just will have a harder time. Then you have the ones that an elite coach could get 8-9 wins at but there is a ceiling.

Tier I

Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas - Any of these programs can be turned around and become what Alabama/Georgia are with right coach. Keep in mind, Alabama looked more like Auburn or Florida right now from 1997 - 2007. Alabama isn't Alabama without Saban walking in the door.

Tier II

Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M (Texas A&M could potentially be tier I but they have yet to show it with their history) - This tier has seen programs with some higher level success including National Titles but it has been awhile and recent history tends to show these programs as a step below the other programs even with elite coaches.

Tier III

Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt. There best bet is win 10 games and make SEC Title game. They can't win titles and they are always going to be behind in recruiting.

Let's say Saban choose any of the other 15 schools in the new SEC besides Alabama in 2007, he likely wins multiple SEC titles with any of the schools in Tier I, may win a title or 2 if very fortunate with the Tier II school but is definitely not winning 6, it is doubtful he wins any titles with Tier III.

Switzer was on Finebaum today, it was good stuff.

Finebaum - “ok thanks for coming on,you really made it a great show”.

Switzer - “of course it was, I didn’t let you talk”.

With the personalities at Oklahoma and Texas and their fanbases, they are going to fit in well with the insanity that is already the SEC. Never a dull moment.

In to get OU and Texas, A&M and Mizzou should have been given back to the big 12, and then Mississippi State and Vandy sent packing to get back to the SEC being 12 teams as God intended

If you kicked Miss State and Vandy and give the Big12 teams back, you would be down to 10 teams.
