PAC News

If Texas is worth 100mm then ND is worth 60mm and if they are making 27mm with the ACC that cut will increase along with the conference to 30. This is easy math.
so if they are currently making $27mil a year with the ACC agreement.. NBC should give them a raise of 33M for it's 7 games? Everyone is tightening their wallets because of the uncertainty of the economy.. I don't think they will be free spending the way they have been..

I mean word is that ESPN low balled the PAC at 25 mil a school for tier 1 rights. PAC scoffed at it and took their rights to market just to find out all linear outlets weren't going to be paying them 50M per school. They have asked ESPN to return to the table hoping the 25M per school offer is still available.. and ESPN is most likely offering even less than that number.

I think NBC with the ACC deal in place can get ND closer to 50m (my guess is 44-47).. but 60 would be something else.. all for just football

You take 50 I’ll take 60 and let’s do a month avi bet.

If it’s 55 then it’s a push, 54 and below you win, 56 and above I win.

I think ND gets the 60M.

Their last 6 years are a good bargaining chip. ND's had some dry spells where they were irrelevant and that's NBC's risk to take.

An irrelevant ND would just have to schedule some decent B1G teams and they'll both get their money's worth on tv sets. NBC set themselves up good getting in on B1G play and already having ND.

ND's last 6 years are more often then not sure 12 team play-off material. That's a bargaining chip for the Irish.

Agree and I do think Notre Dame could make even more in the B1G.

They wouldn't have to worry about NBC contract as they could arrange something with NBC and the B1G to make that happen since NBC has both.

Regarding ACC GORs, I am not sure it is as strong as a normal GOR and I think the buy-out would be significantly less than an actually ACC team and even less than what OU/Texas faced with the Big12. Even then, they could probably compromise and keep a couple of OOC games with the ACC matched with a buy-out to make it happen as I imagine Notre Dame would still want to play Boston College and perhaps other Northeastern ACC schools like Pittsburgh or Syracuse.

of course they would.. hell they could have made more in the Big12, nevermind the BiG and SEC

In a 12 team playoff they'd have been in 4 of 6 minimum. The 3 loss season is iffy, but potentially 5 out of 6 times.
3 out of 6

The GOR, and the circumstances around its signing are rock fucking solid. GOR’s are very simple agreements that have been used for over 60 years in a variety of industries.

Yeah this is starting to sound more and more like the PAC might not survive. Please for the love of gog Yormack just add 2 and not 4 PAC teams.

nothing is going to happen.. BiG doesn't want to look like they were the killers of the PAC, so they won't go after oregon or udub until one of the other schools (4 corners?) bolt to the Big 12... and right now they are waiting to see if Oregon and Udub bolt first.

So they take usc and ucla but dont want blood on their hands. Ok.
And now reports saying pac schools playing no you hang up first
