PAC News

not sure what everyone is waiting for over there
My guess is Washington and Oregon to commit fully or bounce to the B1G. No one really wants to leave the PAC but Zona and PrimeU don’t want to be left holding the bag which obviously they feel could happen. They want to make damn sure they get a seat at a table, even if it ain’t the big table

Washington and Oregon are committed fully even with a smaller revenue share they just don't have an invite.

Speculation (which looks to be true) is the B1G won't extend an invite until the PAC folds which they see as inevitable and the PAC has been scrambling to come up with a package that will get Oregon and Washington to commit and they won't do it. The other schools have been more than likely just waiting to see if this pans out and the corner schools have exit strategies if it doesn't.

All it will take is one domino and then everything starts happening.

If Colorado and Arizona truly bolt then it's done because Utah and ASU follow and that means the PAC has lost 6 out of 12 schools and any conference agreements are null and if not they will be when Washington and Oregon announce they are gone and either get an B1G invite or ask to join the B12 as well.

They're "null" in 2024 anyway.

The PAC can survive if all they lose is Colorado and Arizona. Im not truly convinced ASU automatically follows Zona and Utah seems like they will hang on until the last possible moment. If the PAC could even get a 5 year GoR signed id bet they would stay together if that deal comes close to what the B12 is getting at 50% linear.

But if it truly is the B1G doesn’t want to look like the destroyer of the PAC (which is hilarious in itself) then the UO and uDub should be back channeling to Zona and Colorado to start the process of the move.

They are the destroyer. It doesn't matter what they want to look like.

If Arizona goes ASU goes.

The B1G starts back channeling and that’s the way you get hit with a tampering lawsuit.

Not if there's no GOR.

Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Arizona St won't be leaving prior to the current GOR expiring in 2024. Same with USC/UCLA.

You can be sure that Oregon/Washington (et al) have already reached out to the Big 10 in some capacity. i.e. They likely initiated contact which would nullify any "tampering" accusation.

Is there a USC/UCLA "tampering lawsuit" you're aware of?

Seeing rumors that Colorado and Arizona are about to jump ship and saw where some guy posted the following:

"Colorado’s board of trustees have an executive session (non-public) meeting scheduled for tomorrow with a regularly scheduled two-day meeting in a couple of weeks. It’s possible that tomorrow’s executive session could be to discuss a potential move to the Big 12 with the formal decision occurring during the regularly scheduled meeting."

All of it could be crap or posturing.
i see this was posted today but i also feel like i saw the same thing posted last month and the month before.

This all the fault of Texas, for not joining the PAC back in the day

I don't think they were ever serious about that.

They were just using the PAC in attempt to get more concessions (leverage) in the Big 12, but it blew up in their face.

I know 1 of the guys reporting this stuff on twitter blocked me for calling him out on starting rumors for clicks and likes months ago about the same thing. so still not buying it.

I think Oklahoma was serious because Stoops wanted access to California recruiting to help supplement what he was getting out of Texas. I think Texas was interested but wanted to keep the LHN for themselves and the PAC wouldn't allow that.

UT didn't expect ESPN to offer them $300 million for LHN.. Pac12 would not let them keep it, that was a deal breaker

That's what I said.

You should have taken the deal because now you're our bitch and get to sit in the corner when we feel like putting you there.
