This is where we'll have to agree to disagree. I think it's a huge leap. It's one thing to allow teams to keep their postseason money. It's fair and every school can benefit from it. It's an entirely different thing to say "these two schools will make more money regardless of the results".

why 12? that was before the playoff also what criteria was used because even from 12 im pretty sure oregon wouldnt have made it 5 times.

I can see giving a school more money to incentivize them, but a share of the CFP is going to be crazy money starting in 2026 ... like close to hundreds of millions. It's going from about $480 million to $1.8 billion. They will be arguing over how to distribute that. It's now distributed to the G5 schools, and then the rest is evenly distributed to the P5 conferences, with shares going to the teams that make it. But, the SEC and the B1G are going to say that all conferences aren't created equally and want more for those teams that get in.

We agree to disagree

i feel like we have heard from a number of different schools officials and not once has any of them said some schools are asking for more or anything of the sort. I 100% have no doubt that some of them would have been up front about that.

lol yes, Oregon and Washington who probably have an invite to the B1G at some point have never asked the PAC about unequal revenue sharing to keep hem there.

Sell that BS some where else.

The issue is every knows that unequal revenue sharing isn’t keeping UO and UW from joining the Big Ten. That’s why nobody credible has reported this has been requested. It simply wouldn’t make any sense

And again, neither does letting those that make the postseason keep the full freight. Yet they still did it.

I will never believe it wasn’t even discussed. Of course they’d be stupid to do it. But to think it was never even discussed, nah.

I can’t tell you what to believe, you’ve already made up your mind. I can just tell you that’s there’s no evidence that it was discussed and it makes no sense to accomplish it’s supposed goals. My conclusion is it probably was not discussed.

The postseason stuff is a different animal. It incentivizes programs to invest and makes it so everyone can benefit.

As you’ve made up yours. it makes absolutely no sense for them to discuss and ultimately decide on keeping post season revenue for the teams that make it while not even thinking about the media deal lol.

And this postseason money agreement does the exact opposite of benefitting everyone. Although I do agree with it.
