If you can intercept the actual calls, there is no reason for advanced scouting...just listen to them in real time. Intercepting signals won't help you later on unless you again intercept the signal.

The NCAA and the B1G feeling the need to warn other teams is what makes me think it’s something a lot more serious than “just a scout in the stands!”

That’s a pretty unprecedented move.

agreed.

Which is why to me it matters very much how far this goes.

I mean...I hate to jump the gun but it's a little odd they got boat raced by TCU (a team they're unfamiliar with and wouldn't have known they were playing) and perform better against known opponents.

I think what you are alluding to is that Michigan was not prepared for TCU. Researching, watching video, analytics and scouting are all part of the preparation. If you are able to steal non electronic signs ... that is on the team getting their signal stolen.

Harbaugh seems like a guy who would try to throw others under the bus here hoping there’s no trail that can link anything back to him.

Find it hard to believe they weren't ready with more than a month to prepare, after they beat much better teams all season.

On any given day ... TCU did not make it to the playoffs by sucking. You will hear no whining from me. I hope Harbaugh and team do not takes their eyes off Sparty, because Sparty will not lay down.
