DeBoer Replaces Saban

Uh, we don't know who they asked to interview or offered. If that's true though, Lanning needs to up his business game. He's the only one of the names that came up that didn't get a juicy extension (or offered one, in DeBoer's case).

Making it all the more likely he isn't going anywhere.

Nebraska's facilities rank outside the top 25 in college football.

No wonder the top players avoid Lincoln

Yes, all that "prestige" certainly is helping Nebraska the past 6 years.

:dhd: :dhd: :dhd:

As bad as they've been, Nebraska still brings in the beans.

Again... You're counting your chickens (ducklings) before they hatch. It's been the Oregon way for 20 years now.

Oregon's not a prestige program or an elite program. I know you wannabe, but you're nowhere near at this point.

1. One who aspires to a role or position.

3. A product designed to imitate the qualities or characteristics of something.
adj.
Wishing or aspiring to be; would-be.

We got spoiled by a coach that did it the right way. ^^^ is the vid of the first time Petersen was back in Boise after becoming our coach and you could see the love and respect from his former players.

At the time I didn't like how he left the kids at Fresno and clearly having most of the team find out from ESPN he was gone before he bothered to attempt to communicate with them has many of them not so happy with him today.

KDB has a tall order at hand. Not just filling in Saban's shoes, but Saban still having an office near his and being a regular presence. He's an easy enough going guy to get along with and should do fine with it. Still I'm guessing he is at the NFL level within 3 years. Just seems like how he rolls.

ahhh yes... the right way...

And now the leaks from the team meeting start, the fucking nerd won't even own his choice.

what about the nerds who are mad that he doesn't kiss everyones ass first on the way out?

Seriously man, he's gone, be happy for the past two seasons.. no need to hate him, he didn't burn your program down or anything. He didn't tell the players he was gone and that he would find them better situations like a former coach of my school did...

Relax man. All I did was point out we recently had an entirely different cat and some of our base are holding impossible standards because of it.

If it makes you feel better I didn't and still don't hate Sark, I was happy he left.

Man, softy is still being all depressed and stupid online. Like sack up man. He was here in '08 and this is nothing even close to that year.

In that season the M's finished with 61 wins and fired their GM and manager, the Seahawks finished 4-12, and the Huskies finished 0-12. Every sports team was bad and with little signs it could improve.

This year the Seahawks weren't going to go anywhere with that defense, but they weren't THAT bad, Carroll needed to go. He's 72 and his defenses were getting more and more shitty. His leaving is something to celebrate. And we just finished the greatest season for UW in more than 30 years.

Dude acts like it's '08 all over again.
His problem is the same problem with all Husky fans who are crying or are upset since he left. Softy, and a lot of Husky fans, keep being delusional about thinking every coach is going to be Don James. If anything they should learn from Don James and realize the leaders of Washington won’t do everything possible to make UW a blue blood. UW isn’t a stepping stone job but if a blue blood job opens up, every UW coach will take it until the alums make the president and regents realize football makes their school more attractive. UW should be equal to SC but for some reason it isn’t.

PAC-12 network blows.

Let's do an avatar bet for who draws more viewers next season.

Do you really think the well dries up when Knight is gone? There's quite a few provisions for Oregon to be well taken care of when he kicks the bucket.

They offered DeBoer 9.2m/yr. There wasn't a lack of effort from school brass. He left because it was the ultimate college job and he was the hot coach of the moment. They would have paid him at the level of a top blue blood coach.

As for SC? Clearly you don't get the advantage of being a private school.

Whoever we tap today will be the highest paid state employee. That comes with all sorts of complications.

Thank God. I don't think I could have survived watching Nebraska football the last 5 years.

Ray Perkins got run off for going 10-3

Hey! We didn't can Ray Perkins. He left for the Bucs. Not such a hot decision either. He ended up with a .357 win % in the NFL.

He had had some shitty seasons at Alabama too and bailed when he got us to double digit wins. I don't really blame him, but to go to the Bucs back then? Suicide mission.

If it makes you feel better I didn't and still don't hate Sark, I was happy he left.
Honestly I don't know what happened with Sark in the Udub years.. only know the negative things in the SC years.. I'm glad we have him, he proved himself here in Austin.. I had doubts just optimism but he's delivered. It's tough to win here despite all the advantages that come with the gig.. probably cause of the pressure coming from every angle.

honestly.. oregon should get better ratings.. they are clearly one of the top teams heading into '24 on paper in the conference.. Nebraska ratings will still be solid.. but they could get even better ratings if Rhule gets them on a winning start..

YES. I'm sure he will have funds set up to give to Oregon every year for 50 years after he's dead.. but it won't be like he's been doing the past few seasons.. T Boone Pickens esqe imo
