My quick look at it seems to have conferences playing internally to get to a champ ... no one wants that. We want as many teams playing other conferences.

The whole idea we are talking about this before the CFP-12 even starts if absurd.

2020 is wrong. Oregon wasnt ranked Coastal carolina was the next highest conference champion.

Well that's my bad then. Change 2020 to Coastal then instead of Oregon and it should be good to go. No other year had more than one G5 ranked higher than the Power 5 at the time.
