More Michigan Cheating

I think it just depends what region you are in.

I'd think tejas/Oklahoma is viewed by most in the southern Plains as the biggest rivalry.
Alabama/Auburn is viewed by most in the Southeast to be the biggest rivalry.
Army/Navy
USC/UCLA
I agree … these are big rivalries. I don’t pretend to have the understanding that those from their universities have. I respect that. Army/Navy bring many more than just those who went to their Academies. In the end, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Space Force will all be on the same side (Thank God).

Our biggest regret. Seriously, you guys can have it.
We are happy with the Upper Peninsula.

I've been pretty clear that I don't think there was any wrongdoing to the letter of the law unless you can prove that was Stallions on the sideline. If the NCAA did prove it was him, that would be a direct violation of the rule; so long as he was scouting with the purpose of helping Michigan and not CMU. This goalpost has never been moved.

You'll notice, the notice of allegations (at least the draft) contained a lot of nonsense related to the investigation (and cooperation with) and not the original claim. Which is an entirely different conversation.

The "lack of cooperation" (which Michigan has been in complete lack of) often triggers a bigger penalty than just the infraction itself would have if you cooperated with the NCAA.

I think the biggest penalty is going to be Stallions for his basic refusal to even meet with the NCAA.

Do you think you should be punished for invoking your right to protect yourself against self incrimination?

You can definitely say nobody is "obligated" to hand anything over to the NCAA

Also the NCAA is not obligated to act like a real court of law though. They can determine lack of doing so as a act of not being cooperative at their own will

Actually, if you are going to level punishments against a plaintiff that will have measurable financial consequences, there is a certain amount of culpability.

That's not what you said last October

And what I'm telling you is that this bylaw relates to in-game recording while the teams are playing. IE Michigan playing rutgers and using equipment to record/steal signs in-game.

There's no spin cycle. That rule very specifically cites in-game stealing of the opponent. You'd have to really stretch that one to suggest it was meaning in-game stealing during illegal in-person scouting of future opponents. The intent of that rule is clear, and it's meant to prevent teams from using equipment to steal signs in game and then communicate with on-field staff.

Until you were provided with the actual rule that 'prohibited in-person scouting of games of future opponents'.

It's not just about Michigan sending Stalions....

The rule also prohibits "employing or paying the expenses of someone else to scout the opponent.”

Of course those were things you were saying before evidence was provided that Stalions was providing friends and family tickets to go scout and record future opponents for him.

That's where it turned to "nObOdY On MiChiGaN's sTaFF EvEn KnEw StaLions" and multiple other movements of the goalposts.

Huh????

Maize, here’s a post you made from 4 hours ago…… telling us it’s Stallions

Stallions helping CMU On the sidelines as part of their staff:

That's a pretty big reason he was on the sideline in team gear. He was hired by CMU.

LOL

When it isn't a criminal case? Yes.

Are they still acting like sunglasses and a hat makes you a master of disguise? Lol. 'well you cant be 100% sure its him because of the hat and glasses' -

One of them doesn't understand why non OSU people are "piling on Michigan" while the mental gymnastics master continues his flip flopping crusade.

Correct, but can you be compelled to testify against yourself in an administrative hearing? If the NCAA imposes fines or conditions which hampers financial gains, could the NCAA be held culpable?

Absolutely you can, as terms of employment dictate. Again this isn't the gov't going after him, it is a private institution that doesn't even have to allow you to work for them.

I'm starting to think the NCAA is actually going to come down pretty hard on them. The crying that is going to result from that is going to be unrivaled hilarity.

I agree. I think this is going to be an institutional issue considering all the pretty serious issues that happened in the last 3-4 years. Improper recruiting, systemic sign stealing, federal computer hacking, etc.

The UM fans are going to wish this was "just a cheeseburger" because to an outsider it looks like the inmates were running the asylum under Hairball. It's approaching a level where the football program took a "win at any costs, do whatever we want" to the degree the program could take a pretty serious hit. Their fans should be sending money to SMU's NIL fund to thank them for taking the death penalty off the table because no joke this is approaching that level.

Let me clarify this, I find it laughable, that y'all are "Piling on Michigan". ohio state is a very admirable enemy, and I am damn glad to have them. By the way; Who is West Virginia's rival East Virginia?
