But if we win, you’re going to be blessed with watching an Iowa-esc Brian Ferentz special.

Even during the early stink of Rich Rod, Michigan still managed to upset Wisconsin who I believed was in the top 10 at the time.

If Michigan is gonna have a game like that this year, it's gonna be against USC. Who I do not trust at all not to shit their pants.

That was an awesome comeback win at the time. I'll never forget Threet's 58 yard run. That Wisky team may have been #9 at the time, but they ended up being rather subpar. They nearly lost to Cal Poly.

Bielema's Wisconsin really started taking shape in 2009.

Guessing this means Minnesota vs. Michigan will be Big Noon, which is yuck. Surprised Illinois/PSU didn't get the 6 day hold. If Illinois wins Friday, could have been a top 15 matchup.

Michigan has not shockingly benched Davis Warren and will start Orji vs USC

How long until Orji is benched for the next guy (Tuttle? lol)

Hopefully they're out to piss off the west coast and make Wisconsin/USC Big Noon.

I don't think contractually they can put a west coast home game on at Noon. I'm not 100% sure about that, but thought I heard that somewhere.

Michigan fans -

How stupid is Moore for putting Loveland back in up 3 scores on Arkansas State, when he was clearly hurt, only for him to get hurt more? That's one of the most boneheaded things I've seen a coach do in awhile.

Well he's the same coach who announced his QB change on a Monday so USC has all week to prepare. He's in over his head.

Eh it was pretty much common sense that Orji was likely gonna start or at minimum see a significant share of snaps after Warren's turnover debacles last week. But yea it's still stupid to outright come out and say it on Monday.

The team doesn't have an identity, that's for sure. I'm not sure Orji plays the whole game Saturday or if maybe even turn it over to Denegal or Tuttle at some point. Maybe they just start playing option ball and try and win like Navy used to.

I keep seeing Michigan fans insist on this on other forums/twitter. It would be very hard to try to implement a whole ass option offense on the fly mid season and have it work very effectively most of the time. Basically it would be more of a train wreck than when Rich Rod was trying to run his spread option offense with Sheridan/Threet and a bunch of Lloyd leftovers at the skill positions.

Orji is big and fast, but big and fast doesn't automatically = being a good runner in football context. Just being big and fast isn't enough to get you by in major P5 college ball. Guy doesn't have the best vision and he's pretty bad at making reads. Running a READ option offense even with a QB who's bad at the read part is going to be a bad experiment. If he was truly some dynamic game changing runner he wouldn't had been sitting to start the year in favor of a noodle armed bad decision making walk-on.

Orji might not turn it over but that will be because they won't let him air it out much if at all, when they do let him throw it's likely mostly going screen passes and little short play action dink and dunks

Oh you're not wrong, I don't anticipate the offense running successfully with Orji any better than it did with Warren. There's a reason Orji couldn't beat him out to begin with. Arkansas State is a really, really bad team and that game shouldn't have been as close as it was. Central Arkansas had nearly the same amount of yards and more points again Arkansas State, to put things into perspective.

At this point, it's about even making a bowl game, which isn't guaranteed. Maybe they have some special packages with Orji they haven't used yet that they plan on using against USC. My guess is they're going to use at least 3 QBs through the season, if not more, and it's going to be brutal regardless. If Loveland is actually hurt, he has no reason to keep playing, which will essentially eliminate their entire passing game anyhow. Might as well try and just run as much as possible with different schemes and packages.

In their current state 6 wins is going to be a uphill climb. This doesn't look like a team that's going to improve much.

The OL is not good, the WRs are terrible. There's just not much going for them at all offensively and I don't see much potential to improve. The defense has clearly taken a step back as well, the depth on D is awful too, if injuries start piling up there for them it's gonna get real ugly.

Yeah all the talk of how experienced the OL was because they all rotated last year sure hasn't been true, that's for sure. The defense looks pedestrian now that they aren't being propped up by the offense and Stallions. It's looking a lot like the Rich Rod days again.

The Michigan fans were legit acting like they rotated their OL like hockey lines, lmao!

They had a couple of good transfers the last 2 years that really helped supplement the OL, they didn't really get that this year.

That's true. Minnesota at Michigan looks like it will be Big Noon. Maybe Nebraska/Purdue?

I can't imagine Purdue will get another prime slot after what happened Saturday. I'm guessing they'll probably lose to Oregon State this weekend.

Purdue/Oregon State should be a close game but I lean Oregon State as the home team. My thought was that the hype around Nebraska if they're 4-0 could beat out 2-2 Michigan.

If Nebraska was the home team, I definitely think it would have been a more attractive option and maybe the correct one. But with it being at Purdue that takes a lot of excitement out of it.
