Last movie you watched and rating (1-10)

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 4/10. I like Michael Keaton, but this one had whiskers on it. Too much poor quality repetitive crap. Not even close to the quality of the original.

The Pitch Meeting nailed the issues for it.

Longlegs

Not for me 2/10

i get it, not a favorite of mine, i get what they were going for... calling you out as a bitch, i kid. i do get why people wouldn't like it, think i;m a 6.5 myself, just because i appreciate what they went for.

I can see how people would like it, it was well made. It was wacky and different but I guess I’m not smart enough to get what the actual point of it all was. It ended up being more strange than spooky, to me. 2/10 might be too harsh but I checked three times to see how much longer it had lol

I took the two grandkids to see this movie......
The first one was good, gjus one sucked balls.

Zulu

Loved it.

Watched it on election night. I figured if I was going to watch a massacre I might as well enjoy the one I’m watching.

Deadpool & Wolverine - 10/10

I'm sure I didn't get all the references to other parts of the marvel universe, but I got some and the ride was fun as hell.
When you have someone at the helm who is talented and REALLY has a passion for the project, that often (not always, unfortunately) leads to a quality final product. Reynolds absolutely LOVES the character and really understands him, so he is able to deliver absolute bangers every time. All 3 movies were absolute A+ and worthy of multiple rewatches.

He loves the character and understands audiences. Sometimes when you get those people who are working on pet-projects they go so deep into the easter eggs and explore such odd tangents that only extreme super fans understand it. Deadpool avoids all of that and even people who had no clue Deadpool existed prior to the first movie could understand it and enjoy it.

George Lucas and the prequels come to mind. Probably the absolute prime example. But at least he saw how badly he fucked up after a late screening of Phantom Menace.

Ok, for you guys looking to watch an animated film with your kids/grandkids, that still has one or two laughs in it for adults (rare today), I recommend, "The Wild Robot". I give it a solid 8/10. Dreamworks did a nice job with this one.

Fall
Peacock
6.8/10
Good suspense drama with a couple of good twists. Of course, some "what the hell were you thinking" moments.

When I saw peacock thought this was a new movie I missed. Climbing the TV Tower (or whatever tower it was), those clips you see on other venues of people doing that is enough for me. The obviously added some story, but none needed.

I couldn’t even find the courage to watch the trailer for this movie. No way do I have any desire to watch it.

Red One - The trailer for this was such a mess. That said, it was entertaining. I don't know if any of you remember Axe Cop from the short lived Animation Domination High Definition (ADHD) late night block of shows FOX did at midnight or so, but it was essentially this guy animating stories his kid brother told... and that's what this felt like. As I was watching that's how i took it in and was able to enjoy it. Yes, I went with the HDTS feed or whatever the best thing out there was, it was good quality.
