2025 Recruiting Thread

Michigan getting publicly bodied by a recruit turning down their big money offer is by far the funniest thing of this cycle.
If he accepted would this be the first publicly admitted case of a college football player making more than the coach?

Michigan fans directing their anger at their dopey insiders and not the people actually responsible for the mess they are in is funny as fuck.

To be fair, Sam Webb deserves every bit of shit he gets. That dude is a perpetual failure of an analyst lol

Newsflash: There apparently isn't enough money in the world to entice a talented kid to play for a blubbering crybaby bitch.

Same Webb is a creation of the Michigan fans taking his word as gospel, they are responsible for how he is, he knows he can say whatever he wants and they will eat it up.

4 star S Byron Baldwin out of Maryland who decommitted from Indiana on October 2nd has committed again to Indiana.

And some people don't think the SEC is the best. They almost couldn't screw up this much talent even if they wanted to. Current 24/7 rankings. Seven of the top ten.

2. Alabama
3. Georgia
4. LSU
5. Auburn
6. Texas
7. Texas A&M
8, Tennessee
How many transfer out?

I'll be damned. And I thought money was all that mattered. Or has someone outbid Michigan?
If LSU had that kind of money they would buy their coach out.

How many transfer out?
Nowadays a bunch. Saban said many of the backups on those type teams transfer because they know they won't get as much playing time. And unless they have starter vacancy, they have a hard time attracting transfer portal kids also because of lack of probable playing time. My heart doesn't bleed for them at all. That's what they get for getting such good starters.

So many of the freshman that don't play transfer out, so you have to look at the transfer portal rankings as well

It's a numbers game. A 5 star doesn't mean the kid will be good, so you get as many as you can. The ones that don't win the job transfer out. Just how the system works now.

Did you not get the memo? Your team doesn't have to play the "what about incoming transfers" game anymore. :suds:

Same amount as other schools in the top 10 year after year.
Exactly. So asking "how can they lose with all this recruited talent?" is easily answered by seeing how many depart.

maybe. Even winning teams see a lot of talent leave if they had a lot of talent come in year after year.

Why not? Both are critical.
Well for starters the transfer window opens the same day signing day happens, and not a lot of kids who will transfer are talking about it. But all the kids who will sign are talking about it now.

Thus, we are talking about incoming fish as opposed to transfer rankings.

What does that have to do with "my team"?
