Even if you lost to Oklahoma I can't see more than 2 maybe 3 B1G losses, even if you completely whiff on the portal.
We shall see. Going to be an interesting early signing week seeing if we can flip some more guys and then see who we can get in the portal. One guy who I am happy they said is coming is McCauley from Indiana. He is a 6'5" WR. We have no size on the outside.

Yeah. I think with Underwood enrolling early -- the job will be his. Michigan has 2 guys returning on the OL. They also have two others who could come back for one more year if they want. I think Michigan will be in the portal as well getting an OL or 2.

They have the #2 OL 5 star Andrew Babalola coming next year in our class, and they have 5 star Ty Haywood coming to visit this week, who the #4 OL. Both are tackles. So OL isn't what I'm worried about. We only gave up an average of 1 sack a game this year, and we didn't have a mobile QB or even a QB with any pocket presence. :pound:

Tyler Morris just entered the portal. Odd considering he probably had the most legit upside still of any of those WRs

You should still be worried about OL NEXT YEAR, you can't rely on true freshman, no matter how highly rated on OL

You also attempted the 14th fewest passes in the entire country.

OL is the last thing I'm worried about. I will say this -- Michigan just flipped Nathaniel Marshall from Auburn. He is the #55 recruit in the nation and the #7 defensive lineman in the nation.

I think this week is going to be pretty wild for Michigan in recruiting. He wasn't even a guy I had heard anything about. I wouldn't be surprised to see Michigan end up with a top 5 class. Have a feeling Michigan is going to have a top 5 recruiting class every year if they truly are allowing them to enter the NIL deal in recruiting.

You have to be weary of guys who are only there for the money though, that's how you end up like Texas A&M having letdowns every year. Players purely seeking a bag usually don't work out well at the bag school.

I wouldn't be shocked now if Meadows transfers over from LSU. They have Andrew Marsh coming in next year and I know they have McCauley supposedly coming as a transfer.

I think the writing is on the wall for Tyler Morris.

Yeah -- That's why I hate NIL. But I'd rather get the talent on campus and get them to buy in, rather than watch everyone else load up, which is usually what happens.

Meadows is a recruit not a transfer. And he's going to Alabama.

This was originally my thought, but it didn't take long for that to change. I don't even get mad about losing guys who flip to other schools for bags, because they likely woulda been gone after a year anyway if things didn't go exactly how they wanted.

I know. Unless Meadows has flipped already, which I haven't heard, he is committed to LSU, but Michigan and Bama are trying to flip him.

I think this week recruiting class will show you -- Michigan had their hands tied behind their back when it came to NIL deals for recruits, until now.

If Michigan truly is entering the NIL battle with all these other schools -- I like our chances to have top 5 recruiting classes almost every year. If there is one thing that Michigan alumni have way too much of............it is money. And their pretentious asses love throwing it around. And props to Michigan Alum and die hard fan Jolin Ellison for marrying one of the top 3 richest men in the world -- when your wife has everything, you buy her football recruits as a gift.

Your schedule next year is not good, the "big" OOC is against a stumbling Oklahoma program and you avoid Oregon & Penn State.

Unless teams like Washington, Nebraska, Sparty & Wisconsin see good improvement i'd argue at this point that Michigan should probably win 9 games next season or it will be a big disappointment. Your big problem is gonna be depth again, that can be sort of fixed if they play the portal right.
Michigan has to hit the portal. Our only 4 star WR on the team just announced he was transfering today, leaving literally walk ons and a couple 3 star kids leftover. I don't believe the coaching staff is thinking they're going to rely on the incoming recruiting class to fill that, and I think Tyler Morris knows something about his place on the roster.

That said, our schedule looks pretty favorable next year for a bounce back season.

There's using NIL as a bonus to kids who actually want to be there and then there's using NIL to outright buy guys who never woulda given you much of a serious look if the bag wasn't there. You want to avoid the latter

Literally every "insider" is saying he's a lock to sign with Bama.
Yeah -- I don't put much into that stuff. These kids change their mind every other day. I just know he was really close with Underwood. So I'm sure Underwood is trying to get him to flip to UM. Nothing surprises me with NIL now.

McCauley from Indiana is supposed to transfer in. I'm sure there will be others.

Maybe Morris wants to go to a team with a more established offense?

I think it's more likely that. Veteran players aren't gonna stick around to see how a incoming freshman QB actually performs.
