Muschamp fired (South Carolina Gamecocks head coach search)

despite being in the same state, Clemson is in a much better geographical location

Clemson is located right on the Georgia border, Columbia isn't. That's a big advantage. In addition to that, Clemson has a much better history than South Carolina.
Columbia is a shit hole and they play their games at the state fairgrounds and if the fair is in town you have maneuver around livestock trucks. True story.

when i go down to Washington Co., Georgia each July, I always stop by the Fuddruckers in Columbia. not too many of those around anymore. that's honestly the only thing i know about Columbia

If you enjoy meth and Hep C, you'll love Columbia

Bro, LSU literally got exposed for a hospital scam that paid players to sign there.. yet nothing has happened to the BBall team or the football team. Saban turned him in because no way he gets beat on the field and on the recruiting trail which was flipped day and night with Freeze.

This is Gus' last contract and then we will move in a different direction but we could do a lot worse and there are plenty of teams like Tenn, Texas, Michigan and FSU that are proving that.

Texas doesn't.. if they did Waddle would have made his commitment to Texas that summer before his sr season. Hell we were lucky to get 5 star Collins on board..only because his momma played basketball at Texas. Sure there are the money handshakes but if you think they are really paying 80k to sign.. your out the loop, sir.

Which is why I felt for Michigan, because they are a school that doesn't get dirty as they probably should.. I guess they still have PTSD from the Chris Webber fallout 25 years ago.

Case in point..why did you think Zack Evans got kicked out the class at GA for? He already collected his money, but still was taking visits and letting people know (through his bro and trainer) that he was still available. Kudos for GA to just cut that branch completely despite already paying..
You have to be kidding me ... you laughed at me because you thought that I was denying a bag man (when I wasn't), and now you are denying that Texas plays the game. C'mon, man. They are obviously not good at it, but what it really shows is the point I made ... you can bag man all you want, but there is more to it. UGA is recruiting well because it's an awesome place to go, Smart brought excitement to the program, it has a great national brand, they like his Saban roots, they like that he has a bunch of rings as a coach, they are in the national hunt every year now, have great facilities, and I am sure some bag activity. All this is true for Texas as well, so I can't imagine why you struggle. But LOL at "UGA does it, but Texas doesn't." Laughable.

@WhosYourDawggy want to make a quick correction.. Texas hasn't paid since maybe Strongs first full class of 2015 which a certain coach had to get released.. and there are rumors on Texas boards that new CB coach Jay Valai might be the bag person, but haven't been able to get really any confirmation on that through the boards insiders. this is his first cycle.
Again, just stop it. Everyone else is paying, but Texas is clean. Dude, you know better. You have other problems that is keeping people away, dropping bags isn't one of them.

i'm sure they will come down any day now

We'll see. I guarantee you that if the sexual assault thing that came out today is true, it's going to add on to the institutional control issue and LSU is screwed. I like LSU, so in some ways I hate to see it. But if what is being reported is true, this could go criminal like Pedo State U.

Even before their current Dabo run, they did. When I was in law school at UGA, the Clemson UGA rivalry was a big as there was. Two schools that were NCs in 80 and 81, 60 miles apart. We hated each other. I was at the game when Butler kicked the 60 yarder to win. Was awesome.

it's true.. which is why you never seen anything that has Texas mentioned when scandals merge.. Guess you can say that the father of that basketball kid mentioned Texas in the adidas fall out.. but all he said was that Texas would provide him paperwork for a housing loan lol. As far as football, only person who ever said anything was Chris Simms.. and that was just the $50 handshakes

Look I want them to play the game.. I'd hope they get trainers like Ro Simon and FWK in line, but it just hasn't happened

Is South Carolina the state that had the tow trucking show? Lizards lick or something like that? IF so..who wouldn't want to live there?

LOL. Texas not dropping bags, but everyone else is ... trust Thiefery, he knows. Get out of here.

I went to one years ago. It was pretty solid I thought.
Yeah, but that's pretty much it. Columbia IS kinda blah. Too big to be a bucolic southern town, but too small to be a real city with cool city stuff.

they aren't as far as I know.. maybe Jay Valai has now but who would he dropped the bag off too? If you look at the class who exactly is a high profile recruit that took the cash paying circuit that they ended up with? Bijan Robinson? Told you about Collins who would have chosen Bama if not for his mom being a Legacy.. Be nice if they did pay for Shermar Turner and LJ Johnson for this 21 class but I don't see it happening..

also where's smoke? like this..
"LSU and Alabama are among the list of schools that are expected to be hit with NOA's. South Carolina already has received their notice of allegation, and though they have not yet confirmed or denied the report, Auburn is among the list of schools caught up in the trouble as well."

But you can google Texas and there isn't anything.. not even a self reported violation.. but I guess they are too big to even do that? When they begin to pay, it will be very noticeable

South Carolina closes the liquor stores on Sunday, correct?

They typically open at noon in most places on the South now. I remember then being closed on Sundays and the beer coolers in the grocery stores being zip tied.
Liquor stores are closed on Sunday here. They’re open Monday through Saturday 10-7. You can buy beer all week long though.
