I would think it would be Callahan. The dude had all the talent necessary to succeed and also came in when Nebraska was still fairly relevant, there was no excuse for the level of failure he had.

Pelini started off pretty strong, demonstrating the talent that existed on defense (such as Suh). He just could never put an offense together and by the time he had an offense that could move the ball a little, his defense started slacking quite a bit... well at least against anyone semi-decent. Plus once Callahans talent left, there was a noticeable drop-off in production and Pelini could never bring in that level of talent. The irony was that he was still a better coach in that he could still win more than Callahan even with less talent.

Thanks for the info. I only said that stuff because over on that other site some Huskers fans said they can't stand Pelini.

Yeah, it's tough. I kinda feel like Pelini was fired at the wrong time. That he should have been fired before or after the time he was fired. In college, I had to take Public Speaking, and one of the speeches they let us pick our own topic and type on. So I picked persuasion and my topic was why Pelini should be fired lol... I think I did that back in 2013 (a year earlier than when he was originally fired). Now being completely honest, that was kind of tongue in cheek as I was not thinking about a replacement at the time, but being up 18 at the half to UCLA at home to lose by 20 bothered me. Losing to Minnesota, a team we hadn't lost to since 1960, bothered me. Losing to Michigan State that year for the 1st time in school history, bothered me a little. Then getting smacked at home to Iowa.... I was just done at that point. Thank God we didn't have to play Wisconsin that year.

Now when someone mentions Minnesota I think of that homer fredsdeadfriend. A couple of weeks ago he was bragging that the Gophers have won multiple men's basketball national titles all the way back in the early 1900's.

Did you hear that to boost team morale Harbaugh will now give out a trophy to the winner of the meeechegan spring game? It's made outta macaroni shells.

Is Kramer making it?
