My favorite back in RTP was Cosmic Cantina near Duke. Place was a fucking dump, but they could make a kick ass burrito the size of your forearm for like $6.

moe's is fucking horseshit on a plate. easily the most disgusting crap of all the tex-mex chains. pretty sure it's the ONLY time in my life i asked for a refund because i was so unimpressed with the food i got.

There are no exhaust fans at an Applebee’s. All they do is warm up cooked food as they don’t cook anything. I can’t drink enough beer to wash that shitty food down my gullet.

I still love the wings because I like battered wings and they're hard to find. Also, they cook them well and I like the sauce. And the shrimp, too. And fried pickles.

But I'm afraid a lot of the magic is gone from that chain.

When I lived in Lexington about 50 years ago, a coworker always wanted to go there. This was especially because we were on an open-ended expense account, no questions ever asked. We could go anywhere but he insisted on Applebee's about three times a week. I think I was deeply scarred emotionally and psychologically from this and have not been one time since then.

What I like best of all is to take equal parts of Asian Zing and their hottest buffalo sauce and mix them all together. Man, that is amazing.

But yeah, 3 Mile Island with the chunks of real pepper in all there with a gigantic beer to wash it down? Pure gold.

I typically order Hot and Mango Habanero for my sauces, but do enjoy Asian Zing when my wife can't finish her order of boneless. While I can certainly tolerate Wild and Blazin sauces, they sacrifice taste for heat in my opinion. I want hot, but it still needs to have a good taste.
Still prefer 3MI and a pitcher of beer as well.
