you do know that the original members all reluctantly agreed to even form the Big 12 right? There were issues from the very start.. Both conferences (Big8/SWC) were both dead men walking, the merger was always going to be a short term fix.. and they had quite the run.

Quit blaming the LHN for what happened in 2011.. Texas, aggy, ou and NE all voted AGAINST a conference channel since they all believed they could do it better with an exclusive deal.. UT actually got it done and it's their fault? Please
If the Big 12 had mirrored revenue share like the SEC had in place and had given each member an equal voice at the table no one would have left and you would have a conference network right now and be competitive in other network deals.

aTm left specifically because of the LHN and I would bet that Nebraska would have liked to stay with their natural regional rivalries if the conference had been more stable. They left for stability reasons and took a pay hit for years in order to get stability.

You need to get your head out of the sand.

Yeah. And Texas vs Tam is not high on the list of must watch conference games. Now Ok vs Texas, yeah.
I'm sure it'll double whatever rating y'all get playing your biggest rival..Is that MN? or Iowa?

Why did Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and A&M all vote initially for unequal revenue sharing if you didn't like it.

It was idiotic and what killed the conference. Why you boys haven't been able to at least somewhat get along in the sandbox is beyond me. The strength and stability of a conference depend on all members being on solid footing so starving the little guys hurts you as much as the extra cash helps.

Everyone in Oklahoma refers to southeast Oklahoma as Little Dixie. Seriously, you get down towards McAlester and beyond, it's like being in Louisiana or Alabama.

There was an ESPN poster from Oklahoma back in the day who's handle was Lil' Dixie or something like that.

I remember him getting ridden pretty hard for referring to Oklahoma as 'Dixie'.

So it’s happening, but not until 2026?
They are waiting to see if other programs bolt as well now. If Kansas and Iowa State leave for the B1G and let’s say Baylor and TT go to the PAC then the conference is toast and nobody pays anything.

This will be the last year that the Big 12 exists in its current form.

Dude....

Texas/Texas A&M and Nebraska/Oklahoma were Thanksgiving Thursday football back in the day.

Ohio St/Michigan, USC/UCLA, Bama/Auburn had to wait until Saturday.

Sorry, the game doesn't move the needle for me.
