Really? I was kind of sad because it's something a forgetful grandpa would do, but I understand why he thought it would be funny... the irony & all. I just wish he'd done it with less pages. I got tired of watching it after 3.

I liked him in his early days. Now, his schtick is as stale as 2 month old bread.

I really can't speak for what his last special or two may have been. I feel like a lot on the list are before my time and what I've seen from them didn't age well, so it's tough to judge that era. That said I also understand, feel a lot of comedians lose their edge, play themselves out overtime as well.

When people were talking about hot pockets, I mostly remember his bit about working as a waiter in a Mexican restaurant

Was a long line, we were standing there for like ten, fifteen minutes.

So I say something like “First time you’ve ever done a show in San Antonio?” Making conversation en sech.

And he got all big time. “I’m here with my daughter man, mind your own business.” Or some such dick head response.

It’s not like I asked for his autograph or pointed and started yelling “Hey everybody, it’s Jim Gaffigan!”
