Last movie you watched and rating (1-10)

I just watched Martin Lawrence Doin' Time. Holy shit, it was painful. I like a bunch of the stuff he did back in the day but wow this was bad.

I guess I'd give it a 7. It was a good watch, pretty formulaic and I can't remember any one liners that will end up making this a quotable classic. But it gets a +1 since I saw it in an theater, and I do remember laughing a few times.

I'll say it reminded me of Truman Show mixed with Palm Springs/50 First Dates.

I just watched thirteen year old Christian Bale kill it in "Empire of the Sun".

10/10

On HBOMax right now. John Malkovich is also in it but Bale carries every scene. Incredible talent at such a young age.

A Prophet

8.9

A French movie about an Arab guy/kid with no connections that goes to prison and eventually gets connected with a high level mafia member and and starts to rise and work connections with all the other groups. A really good really violent movie.

Looks good. I just don't like to have to read. I have to put on my glasses.....

Looked interesting. I plan to check it out. First movie to hit theaters in forever to even pique my interest that much.

It wasn't anything new or mindblowing but I watched "The Peanut Butter Falcon" the other night and it's been a long time since I have smiled that much while watching a movie.

Not a movie but a documentary. Untold: Crimes & Penalties. Absolutely unbelievable. Easily 10 out of 10. Think of Sopranos meets Slapshot the movie except it’s all real. It’s a must see on Netflix

The Wheeler Dealers

James Garner, Lee Remmick, Jim Bacchus, John Astin

The quest to pimp Universal Widget.

Love it.

Suicide Squad
Jurassic Park

Would not normally watch the former but my daughter has a friend who puts 4K movies up for viewing. He's where I see Ted Lasso.

Suicide Squad was everything I thought it was going to be but still entertaining.

Jurassic Park was surprising good in 4K, must have been because they had a 3D version or something to work from?

Watching Das Boot now with my 12 yo. Great war movie. 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. Jeff meter says 9.5/10.

My dad brought me to see it in the theaters when it came out. Subtitles and all. I loved it!
