For Europe yes. But there are still playoffs to get in. Second place in Group plus some Nations Leagues teams have a playoff now.

Unbelievable finish to Portugal / Serbia game. Serbia wins in Lisbon in final seconds. It is priceless watching Ronaldo's face after that choke. Portugal in playoff now to get in. 2 games. It is going to be dicey for them now.

Group winners automatically qualify. 2nd place goes to playoff with Nations League teams and not sure other countries included in this playoff. 4th place in CONCACAF might be part of this playoff. Confusing.

Where will the USA game be? Edmonton in January? I heard it might be in Vancouver. 25 degrees and snow and wind Tuesday in Edmonton for Mexico.

One more game for Italy still. They are still in the drivers seat with a 2 goal lead in goal differential over Switzerland. Switzerland home vs Bulgaria and Italy at Northern Ireland. Sweden game a little easier but it comes down to last game still.

The late March set of games is very tough but we got home games with Honduras and El Salvador in the January games and a away date with Panama. Feels like some type of points vs Jamaica on Tuesday then 6+ points during the next round of games should almost unofficially seal a top 3 finish aka qualifying for the Cup

I think USA is done with Panama on the road. That was their only loss. USA still has home games vs Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, and road games Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada.

nope. It is over. That group play 8 games. Italy going to the playoffs in March. Switz to the WC as they win the group

Switz won 4-0 while Italy had a draw

Correct. Late March is crazy tough. Away to Mexico and Costa Rica while getting Panama at home. If the can squeeze 5+ points out of that, I'll be extremely happy
 
I'm still confused

The play-offs take place from March 24 to 29 2022, with 10 group runners-up joined by the two best group winners from the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League overall ranking that have neither qualified directly as group winners nor entered the play-offs already as group runners-up.

During a play-off draw on November 26 2021, those 12 teams will be drawn into three play-off paths for one-off semi-finals and a final, with the three path winners then qualifying for the tournament in Qatar.

The draw will be seeded based upon qualifying-round points, with the six best runners-up being seeded, while the two UEFA Nations League teams are unseeded.

Really? I missed that. I knew games were played but didn't realized Switzerland and Italy played. Italy going the playoff route again lol. Remember in 2018 they lost the two legged playoff to Sweden and were out.

Italy and Portugal in risk not to make the World. Shocking about Italy, but Portugal is a bunch of underachievers. Netherlands needs a win today or they could be in the same boat.
